My go to shoes for years
Noticed the toe box slightly bigger than previous years but still a good fit.
Highly recommend

I replaced my well-loved Ultrafly 4s with these. These have a more pronounced heel area on the outside of the shoe. The fit is a little shallow in the toe box, so these probably wouldn’t work for someone with thick feet or high arches. The heels rub a little, but they don’t look any different from the 4s in that area.

Just couldn't wear this. It is a nice looking shoe but is more of a stability shoe & it hurt my arch & heel. Nice wider toebox & has enough depth to it. But overall I returned them as just not that comfortable for me. Guess I will stay with my older shoes.

This is a great shoe, the style is nice. I am returning because they have too much arch support and the shoes are irritating my feet where the inner padding pushes into the arch of my foot. Feeling the division of the insole and the walls of the shoe are just not comfortable for me. I could see these blistering my arches. If you love arch support these are for you. Personally, I don't need this much arch support. It's hard to find a woman's shoe that are not pastel colored. High style rating for me.

I bought these in white. They're extremely comfortable. The arch support is insane and the insole is very cushy. The only thing I don't like about these is the material of the upper, it dirties so easily. There needs to be a toe cap to prevent some of the dirt accumulation. Other than that, they're great!

Wow! I have worn Topo Ultrafly for several years, at least, as I have lost count in the number of years! The Ultrafly 5 is quite different from previous models. Doesn't have as much of that zero drop feel. The fabric (if you wish to call it that) is not nearly as breathable as previous versions. Within minutes in the house with A/C on I could feel my feet start to feel as though sweating which my feet don't normally do. Stability not as, secure. This was my go to shoe for everything. People would ask me what shoe I was wearing. Just ordered the Topo Aura for a try on.

I have a pair of Ultaventure 4 Topos in an 8 1/2 Wide and they are truly great with wide toe box and good cushioning. The Ultrafly 5 is nothing like these. It is tight in the toe box and with the rubber reinforcement on the toe, on the inside of the shoe instead of the outside and this really irritated my toes. The are not as cushioned or comfortable - hard to believe both models are made by Topo.

I love how they fit and feel on my feet, but I do feel like I run through them (no pun intended) pretty quickly. The tread and the back of the heels (inside) are where I notice it most. I have 3 pair of these, and 2 of the 3 have a hole in the inside fabric that ends up rubbing and creating friction. Now I'm on the hunt for something different for my next pair which is too bad, because the toe box and feel of the shoe is amazing!

I like the fit. I like the roomy toe area. The mid foot is secure. The only thing is that the ball of my feet isn't comfortable. It seems to not have enough support

My experience with these was really mixed.
I tried both a 7.5 (my usual size) and a size 8. The 7.5 fit like a glove, but I felt like I needed just a bit more room. There was a drastic difference in the 8s, to where they felt floppy and clowny. I settled on the 7.5.
As someone who struggles with some numbness in my outer toes, the wider toe box really appealed to me as a possible solution. In my initial trial walks with them, I found this to be true.
Unfortunately, the heel cupping cause a new issue I've never experienced in any other shoe I've worn. I started getting burning pain and blisters on the insides of my heel. This started impacting my pace and made walking a miserable experience.
I am still really glad I tried them out, even if they weren't the right shoe for me. So, I'd still recommend them to others to try as an alternative to traditional fitting running shoes.

Have used Ultraflys for years and have been so so sad (even after ~50 miles) to find that not only does the heel rub differently (giving me blisters on my inner and back heel), but the midsole also seems narrower (i.e., not helpful if you have plantar pain there). Gonna search for Ultrafly 3's and 4's to stock up on and hope future models revert back to how good these prior ones were!

I currently have two pairs of these shoes. First pair had around 100 miles on them and the outsole has worn out so much that I can see the midsole. I was surprised to see it wear out so quickly compared to other brands. But I still purchased the second pair because this is the only brand that works for my wide toe box. However, I only wore the new pair one time, on a single 20-mile run on regular road surface and the outsole is already wearing off and thinning out. That was really disappointing to see after one single use given the price. I enjoy the fit of the shoes but I cannot foresee myself keeping them within my rotations because the outsole is not durable. Photos shown are the new pair that has been used once.

I loved the Ultrafly 4s and owned a couple pairs for half marathon and marathon training. I was excited about this release and I will say it is a nice looking shoe with great colors. However, I am left disappointed with the higher stack. I think 30mm is just too high for me because after a few miles on the treadmill I started to feel an ache in my knee and I never have any issues with low to medium stack shoes. So, I will stick with the Magnafly's and ST's for now. Would love to see this shoe go back 28 mm but I know the trend seems to be higher and higher right now. #sweepstakes

I seem to have lower ankles than most because many running shoes hit me right at the bone which I find uncomfortable.

Much like another reviewer said, the ultrafly 4 were my perfect shoes. Wear them walking for miles all the time, long day at Disneyland and no foot pain at all. I just wore my new 5s for their first walk and my feet are not comfortable :( Dear Topo, if it's not broken, don't fix it. Please bring back the 4s. This is such a bummer.

I loved the Ultrafly 4- it was the best running shoe I'd found and did not hurt my feet at all. It's disappointing the 5s feels like a different shoe, they cause my feet to ache shortly after wearing them.

I'm having a lot of foot pain and bought these and the flilytes. These seemed ok until I wore them a full day. My feet felt stiff and cramped and the pain wasn't much better. The purple color and material are nice. They look a bit ducky, with huge heels, and are about the max I would do for stack height. Overall not for me and I wish I could return them.

I love my Topo trail runners (walked 450 miles - The Camino de Santiago) and they still look and feel great. Decided to try Topo for my everyday walking shoe and ordered the Ultrafly 5. The toe box was great and the fit of the shoe was great except for one very significant area: the mid foot which was very tight. It significantly pinches inward making it unwearable for my feet. Such a shame. I'm returning them.

I have bn an Ultrafly fan forever...until now! I cannot believe you had to add the extra stack height. This is the only "stability" women's shoe in your line up & has kept my knees from aching. One go round with the Ultrafly 5 & aching knees.. I'm on to looking for a new shoe brand. So DISAPPOINTED! Not every shoe needs to be stacked up with extra cushioning! Where did you get the idea it needed this change?? Back to the drawing board boys & revisit the Ultrafly 4...that was a perfect shoe!

Love the Ultrafly 4 fit and sole. The Ultrafly 5's new sole design feels like there's an elevated strip going through the center of the shoe. The arch rubbed as well. So disappointed in the changes. I didn't bother trying to walk in them they were so uncomfortable. I was fortunate to find a new pair of 4's for sale. Please undo this "upgrade".

I lived in the ultrafly 4. Long days at theme parck? No achey feet. Had multiple pair and even tried to track them down in the interim after my size went out of stock. They were great. So I was excited to try the 5 as i wished for just a bit more responsiveness in the 4 which the 5 has. However, as a supinator, the light stability in the 5 is disastrous! The outside edge of my dominant foot has never hurt so badly! After just 2 miles, my dominant foot and ankle are dead tired and have a deep ache along the outside edge of my foot. Such a bummer!

These were way way way too big I’ve been wearing the same size at Topo for years and unfortunately I wore them outdoors without noticing so I can’t return them. The purple color is really nice.
