I am a long time Birkenstock costumer. This is the first Papillo and platform style Birkenstock I bought. I started wearing them yesterday for my trip and walked at the airport. The platform style will definitely have a learning curve. I tripped more than 10 times walking casually. I wore them without socks for about an hour today and black suede color bled and stained my foot right away. I am not happy with this purchase at all. I should have bought my classic leather Birkenstocks. I wish they were returnable.

Exactly what you expect from Birkenstock, COMFORTABLE, right out of the box! The chunky design makes the Arizona a little dressy. They look great with skirts, pants and shorts so you can’t ask for more.

I really wanted to like these but they were just too stiff. The picture gave me the impression the platform would be a bit cushy but it is hard as a brick.

Papillio got bought out by Birkenstock. Not as good as the original; different materials. Enjoy the height. Same footbed, arch as Birk.
