This is perfect for cold weather runs. Not too bulky and feels great.

I had been thinking about getting a casual vest to wear as I live in a cooler climate and the summer is over. I like to layer because I am freshly postpartum and I get hot easily. This has really been such a great staple to add to my wardrobe when I feel like I want to layer at sports games. I am a little over my average weight currently, and it stretches to fit great. The feel is luxurious as it has the "vest" type of feeling without being bulky at all. I've taken it on one run, and it was breathable. The pockets were excellent to carry items when necessary. If I'm being honest, I do wear it as more of casual wear than athletic wear. Design is sleek, and I feel like I'm able to move easily without restriction. I love that it's lightweight, easy to get on and off, zippered, and breathable. Wouldn't change a thing. 10/10.

Normally I would not go for a vest because they just fit awkward due to my bigger upper body. I tried this on and was pleasantly surprised by the way it "hugs" you, but not too tightly. It has areas that have a little more stretch than others and that might be where it makes a difference for me. I don't want to feel trapped in clothes while running, but also need something that doesn't allow things in my pockets to move around too much. This vest has generously sized pockets (unlike most ladies items... IYKYK) and even a pocket for a key or small item (ring...), keeping those little things safer while you run. Also, zippered pockets! They thought of everything with this vest. It's got a windbreaker feel to it, but in a much more upscale way. The front and neck is lightly lined on the inside and the fabric on the back is buttery soft. I run kind of hot so I don't want to wear a full sweater while running. This provides the right amount of warmth without making me feel like I need to take it off mid run. I can see myself using it more in the coming months during a night run as it will start to cool down. Highly recommend for anyone looking for something light during a run. For reference, I am 5'3'' and the length was also perfect! I love a little coverage on my butt and something that won't roll up. It lands in just the right place. Only thing I would like is more colors. Possibly brighter colors for running in the evenings. Other than that, highly recommend.

This vest is my new favorite accessory! It pairs perfectly with any exercise attire and I've even paired it with scrubs for an on-the-go bit of comfort! This piece is SUPER lightweight, is very comfortable and provides the right amount of warmth for any activity. I have tried to utilize this piece in numerous different settings to see if there are any recommendations about possible improvements and missing features but I truly have no complaints! The fabric is very soft and does not rub against me as I run. I love the zipper feature for the colder mornings and the fleece style material is warm without overdoing it. The vest is very casual, comfortable and stylish! It has become a staple in my closet!

The Shield Hybrid Vest 3.0 is a great layering piece and quickly became one of my go-to items. It provides just the right amount of warmth without feeling bulky, and its perfect for cooler mornings or transitional weather. The material blocks wind well while still being breathable, which makes it comfortable to wear for extended periods.The fit is flattering and true to size, and I appreciate how easy it is to move in it doesnt feel restrictive at all. It works equally well for outdoor activities and everyday wear.Overall, this vest is well-made, versatile, and practical. Id definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a lightweight but effective layering option.

Didn't know what kind of vest to get for the cold I'm a bit of a novice jogger but I really love this and am glad I went for it. North Carolina gets cold during the winter but not so cold I need a full jacket.

Great vest! Love the fit and that it is warm but not bulky. My only issue is with the zipper- I wish it was more hidden/tucked in and didnt bop me in the chin while I ran. Otherwise love the vest!

Love this vest. Two critiques- I miss the back pockets and the inside zip pocket like I have on my two other Brooks vests. This one isn't as functional for a long run where I need a few extra pockets. Fit is great.

Perfect for layering on all but the coldest winter runs, great fit, love the zippered pockets. The only reason I lowered it a star was because although I like the teal color I wish it would come in brighter colors for increased visibility during day road runs.

As a runner, finding high quality running gear can be a challenge- especially for runners who live in climates that have variable temperatures throughout the day. The Shield Hybrid Vest 3.0 has a slick, light weight design, that keeps you warm even on mild temperature mornings. The vest is true to size and fits a curvy figure very well. I find that a lot of vests can be boxy and uncomfortable- this vest is the complete opposite. I love that there are two pockets on the outside to store away my keys or my phone- I just wish there was one more pocket in the inside for added protection for valuable items. We have had an unseasonably warm fall, so I look forward to seeing how this vest performs in the cooler temps.

I bought this vest thinking it was similar to the Brooks hybrid vest I already have. Unfortunately brooks has made some updates that I would consider downgrades. The biggest problem is the lack of pockets. The new vest only has two pockets, no back pockets and no internal pockets. The vest was nice but I ultimately returned it and found an older version with all the pockets for sale on Poshmark second hand. Bring back the pockets!!!

I was so disappointed to see the new version of this vest, back side pockets missing, not sure if there is an inside pocket, Brooks took what was the best vest on the market and turned it into something common and mediocre at best, ordered two of them and sent them back, I have 4 of the old style and wear them all the time. Please go back to the old style so I can order some more.
