I'm a plus size 20. This jacket is a 3X. Typically a 3X is a plus size 22/24. I wanted it bigger to fit comfortably over whatever shirt I'm wearing. For a 3X it's smaller than usual. I'm glad though. It does fit comfortably with my shirts. However, it hasn't gotten cold here in Montana yet. So Idk how warm it is. To me, it feels very warm. The style of the fit, looks really good on. You're not looking like a square box. The hood isn't huge. You don't get engulfed in it. Hoods typically overpower on me. I hate them because I can't see etc. The sleeves aren't overly long. They fit at your wrist comfortably. I'm about 4'11 - 5 ft. The pockets are zippered. Can't get any better than that. The zipper to close the jacket zips easily. I've never owned the Columbia brand before. I have found out that it's an excellent brand from others. From what I can tell with this jacket, that holds true. Also, I think that the price was great. Which I guess is usually higher. Repels water. It just keeps getting better for me since I hate wearing coats. I've lived here since 1999 and this is my first winter coat. Usually I wear hoodies. But I don't want to get stuck somewhere and freeze to death waiting for help. Lol. Especially since I travel more than I usually have done so in the past.

Really nice but runs small. Size up especially if you want to wear a thicker layer underneath it.
