I got this for my wife who hates synthetic materials on her skin. This blend she loves and replaced her cheap sweatshirts. One size smaller seems to work getting her into a men's top.

I'm 188cm/6'2", 98kg/216#, athletic build and went with the XL which is what I wear in about everything for a top. I probably could have gone with a Large but the fit through the chest, shoulders, and the sleeve length is pretty much spot on, bit big though waist but I prefer loose fitting for active wear. Length is good unless you have a short torso. Really like the thumb holes and the sleeves are long enough to cover the backs of your hands for sun protection or a little warmth. I really like the material as a base layer against the skin or as a primary performance layer. Soft hand feel, fast drying, really wide temperature comfort range, moves with you very well. I have one lightweight which is good for hot weather but for typical PNW all season use I prefer the heavyweight. I have this hoodie and two crew necks. Prior to Arc'teryx Cormac my "go to" was the Stio Divide LS which is darn good but the Cormac is better. It is pricey but I highly recommend this as a base layer/performance primary layer. I does run a bit large as I mentioned so you might want to size down if you are between sizes or prefer a tighter fit

Received this as a gift and immediately went and bought another (crewneck). Contrary to some of the other reviews, the fit for me is perfect. I am large/athletic build with a history of heavy weightlifting. The shoulders/arms are slightly fitted but the body is looser (a comfortable amount, not by a lot) to make a perfect fit for me.
The material of this shirt is magic. I sweat a lot and somehow it never seems to hold any moisture. I use it for fall/spring running between 0 and 10C and underneath a Squamish Hoody down to about -10C. I will also occasionally use it to layer over a t-shirt toward the end of the summer. Really awesome piece of kit, can't wait to put this shirt on again and get out there!

I love the soft material and cut of this hoody. Looks great on its own or layered.

Super comfortable; great feel and love the color, but I would hesitate to qualify this as a heavy-weight garment. It is closer in material weight to a Rho LT hoody rather than a Rho heavy-weight zip neck, which is considerably thicker than both. Compared with the Rho LT, the hood is looser with a reduced neck height, which diminishes its benefit as a warm, cold-weather running or ski top, for which the Rho LT excels. I would consider this more of a casual garment than performance layer for activities. Lastly, I would prefer a left side, chest pocket as can be found on the RhoLT.

The CORMAC Heavyweight Hoody is surprisingly light and thin, yet the warmth and breathability are outstanding. It keeps me comfortable during cold Northeast winter runs without overheating. The fit is great, the fabric feels premium, and it performs exactly the way a winter running top should. Highly recommend for anyone training in cold weather.

Even though I like the top to me it's from heavyweight, it's more to the liking of sun protection. I was counting on this to walk the Appalachian Trail in February, but now I have to look elsewhere for a top. Like to feel, it's warn enough for temps 40s and above with an under garments.

Logo came off within 1 month. Otherwise would give a 4/5 as it is comfortable and good for 40-70 degree weather, but retains smells more than my other synthetic clothing.
