Ive only had this jacket for about a month and Im already experiencing the same issue that a previous reviewer mentioned. When worn unzipped, the right-side Velcro rubs against the inside of the right sleeve, and Ive started noticing early fraying and wear in that area, which could affect waterproofing over time. Otherwise, the jacket fits well, feels warm without being bulky, and performs great in rain and wind just something important to be aware of.

I use it a lot living in pnw during rainy season. Very comfortable and stylish, even though i bought it for fishing, got lots of compliments.

Bought this jacket about a year ago and still quite happy with my purchase. I purchased the small and as a 5' 6" guy it goes down to my upper thighs. Nice and warm. A good middle between a lightweight and a heavyweight jacket. Perfect for being out in the rain, wind, or light snow. The only problem is the right side Velcro can rub on the sleeve if you're wearing the jacket unzipped. Within a couple months I was noticing the inner side of my right sleeve becoming frayed and losing the waterproofness. Since I noticed, I've been careful about not brushing my right arm against the Velcro but it's only the inside of the arm which usually doesn't need much waterproofing anyways but just something to be aware of.

1. The online size chart is not helping at all. Get a recommendation of L and actually the M size is enough. 2. The claim of maximal warmth is over-advertising. It does not give enough warmth in temperature below 0 degree celsius unless you have multiple layers under it.

Love the fit but not warm enough for a Minnesota winter. I have to wear a full zip hoodie with it. The Velcro at the top is so stiff it leaves marks under my chin from numerous scratches.

I ordered a pair of hiking shoes and was sent the wrong color. In the same order ,I ordered a winter jacket. The order was placed on Jan. 31. Today is Feb. 6 and still no jacket. Delivery date says Feb. 9. I received the boots on Feb. 4. Customer service sent me a label to print for a return for the boots. The place where they told me to go to ship the boots is in the middle of the worst area in town. I was told they have no clue what I was talking about. Hopefully the coat gets here before spring and in the right color. My first and looks like my last order from Columbia. I plan on keeping the wrong color boots. No telling what I'll receive for a return/exchange.

This jacket is perfect...It's warm, waterproof, and windproof. It both fits & looks great. It's really comfortable and lightweight. I can wear it over bulky sweatshirts with no issues. The hood is a really nice feature & the neck zips up really high blocking out the wind. The zippered chest pocket is perfect for your phone and the zippered hand pockets and perfect as well. This jacket was exactly what I expected it to be when it arrived. I recommend this jacket hands down.

I have been searching for a jacket to replace a 10 year old one that I love. I must have tried on more than 60 over the last 2 years. I'm very picky and wouldn't settle until I found a perfect replacement. Nothing else came close, until I found this. I hate cold weather. So for me, this insulated jacket is good when the temp is in the high-teens to low 30's without adding extra layers. That's most of the winter in my area. The silver dot lining makes it very warm without the bulk of down filling. Nice soft feel pockets that keep my hands warm without wearing gloves. I only have two smalls complaints. #1 Velcro fasteners. There's 7 of them along the length of the zipper. Each is about 1.5" long. I can feel the "hooked" half scratching me if I don't zip the coat all the way up. I wish they were press studs. #2 Sizing. I wear a Large in all my other clothing, including other Columbia apparel. I purchased a medium it fit perfectly. Medium is the best fit for a 195#, 6' tall male. Neither complaint is enough to deducting stars from my rating. I also bought the non-insulated version of this jacket (also in Medium) that I use for spring/fall hiking in light rain. It's the same without the padding or silver dots.

Purchased this jacket as a replacement. I like it's warmth and water resistant shell. Good storage pockets and build quality.

I needed a rain coat for.....rain. This coat it great, love the hoodie and warm as heck. If its to warm i just go with a light t-shirt. You won't regret this purchase!

We had tried coat on at local store but ordered online. Coat is very warm but size was completely off being 1 size larger than in the store. Went back to Columbia store and bought the coat in smaller size. Very happy with that and store people were fabulous.

I was able to snag this at a great price during Cyber Monday. Overall, it works great for snow plowing.

Great jacket it's not bulky or too thin. Quite warm when layer up. Jacket is waterproof and windproof work well here the cold here Minnesota.

The jacket is so good at insulating cold wind. It is perfect for snowboarding etc.

Perfect fit hands pockets on correct location, material very well. Enough insulation very warm. Work like a champ.

I love this Jacket. Its lightweight and warm. The waterproofing keeps you dry and cozy. Very good jacket for the price.
