Fits true to sneaker size. Has been a great option for the winter weather for walking through snow or in the city.

As another commenter pointed out, these boots are comfortable and keep your feet warm, even in the coldest conditions- like 5 degrees. snowstorms. I use them almost exclusively during the snowblowing of my 75' double wide driveway which is a hill. The boots have great traction and support even on slippery terrain. Definitely a great purchase!

I used these boots through the winter storm in NYC and Snow Tubing in Pennsylvania. These boots held up great!. Warm, light, comfortable and nice rugged style!

These are the best boots. I can walk for miles in them, and wear to work. They go with Lululemon pants for work and joggers. They are comfy and sturdy and fit true to size.

They are very comfortable - I will be using them in -20 to -40 degree weather so hopefully they hold up.

Insulated and warm! My feet are always cold no matter the layers of wool socks, but in these I was able to wander around the city for the day in a "feels like" of 8 degrees during an extended DC cold snap. Very comfortable as well.

I bought these for a winter boot. They are great for watching hockey games in a cold rink, walks in the neighborhood when temps are below freezing. They are very comfortable, stable, and warm. Highly recommend for all things outdoors in cold conditions.

Comfortable, warm, not very dry! The leather does scratch very easy though and it gives the boots a weathered/used look in just a couple of uses. The boots do not allow you to wear socks that are thick, otherwise it's too tight. The water proof is not super efficient. My feet got wet both times I took these boots to the snow. It should not be advertised as waterproof.

There are many things to like about this boot. It gives all the advantages of a boot, but the comfort of a shoe. The first time I wore it, I was outdoors in constant rain for three hours, and the temperature was 48 degrees. It was not a real test of how it does in extreme cold, but my feet stayed very dry and very toasty. Sizewize, they are right on. I typically wear a size 10.5 shoe and often go up to a size 11 boot. These were perfect in my normal 10.5 size, and if I planned on wearing an extra thick sock (which I doubt will ever be needed), I could have gone up to a size 11. Go with your regular size for shoes, and you will be fine. I went to the North Face store to compare sizes and colors. I arrived thinking that my first choice would be brown, my second choice black, and my last choice tan. I walked out of the store with the tan it looks great in person, much better than in the photos. Everything else I have to say, you have already seen in other reviews. These are lightweight, so you could walk for hours without issue. I am not a fan of spending a lot of time lacing up boots, and these only have one simple "crossing of the laces" before you can tie them, so they meet my laziness standard. A final comment: These boots are somehow "shoe-like" enough that you will feel fine wearing them around without feeling out of place. I have another, excellent pair of North Face boots that are equally wonderful, but that pair screams "I'm a pair of winter boots!" I would not wear that older pair out casually, but these Bergen boots will definitely make the cut. If they are for you, buy them in your regular size. You will be thrilled with your new go-to winter boots. If they are a gift, find out their regular shoe size, pick a color (I recommend the tan), and buy them. You will be smiling with each of the comments you hear over the next few years about how thoughtful you are.
