Great boots! Some reviewers report sizing issues; I did not experience that at all. They are true to size. They are not "the most comfortable boots ever", but they are comfortable. I found that they did require a few days of break-in, so give them a little time. Would certainly buy another pair when needed.

Purchased my first pair of Dr. Martens more than 10 years ago. Love them and still wearing them. I originally purchased locally and wanted to buy more, but couldn't find them anywhere. Then I found this website and was amazed they had what I wanted with more options. When it came to the choices, I needed to contact customer service. The gentleman was very helpful and friendly. He helped me choose the right color and finish I wanted. I order two pairs and they arrived exactly as described and on time. Thank you Zappos!

As usual Zappos has given me good service on products that I like. I have not bought shoes anywhere else for over 3 years and I wear out a lot of shoes and while they are still good I give them to people in Vietnam who are less fortunate than myself. In many places I travel people could use good shoes so I buy more than I need so I can give somebody a pair they could not otherwise afford.

These are great boots. They killed my feet for the first week, but that is because they are good quality leather. Now that I've broken them in, they are very comfortable. The navy color is great. Keep in mind the UK versus US shoe sizes. I wear a US size 11.5 or 12, and I got the UK size 11 and they fit great. These shipped very quickly, and they were exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!

I just bought the Black Nappa Boot and I absolutely love them! I've owned quite a few pairs of Doc Martens throughout the years which most are great, but the Nappa has a super soft leather that requires 0 break in time. These boots are perfect for work (I work in an office) and for walking around town. I wouldn't recommend this specific type of boot for people who work in construction, etc. due to the soft leather. All in all, great boot!

Another awesome boot from Dr. Marten. The treads are great for keeping me on my feet in the snow. Hopefully this pair will last me 12 years as my previous pair did. Well worth the time it takes to break them in.

These shoes are still the same after all these years. They're the best in the snow and the rain. They stick to the ice like glue. It takes a while for the foot bed to conform to your foot, but once it does you'll never want to take these off. They run a little big, so wear thick socks and you'll be OK.

I ordered a pair of Dr. Marten 1460 off Zappos. Not really sure what to expect, I was a bit hesitant to place my order from the internet. Then my worries came true. The package that was supposed to be delivered didn't make it or got lost. I called the same night and spoke to a customer service representative and explained what happened. Not only did she send me a replacement pair, it was delivered to my door the next day. Talk about wow, excellent customer service. Oh by the way, the product is great, fits really well and you can expect more orders from me in the future.

I ordered these boots the week of my birthday with no intentions of actually receiving them in time. When they arrived about 4 or 5 days after I ordered them, I was pleasantly surprised. Unfortunately, I discovered that the size I ordered was too big, and I was reluctant to send them back just because I wanted to wear them immediately. When I finally worked up the nerve to call the Zappos help line, the person I spoke to was extremely courteous, helpful, and knowledgeable. She made me a V.I.P. member and informed me that my new shoes would be sent to me the following day. I couldn't believe it! I wear these shoes every day and am so glad I chose to buy them from Zappos.com. I will definitely be shopping here in the future. Thank you!

I grew up in London where the only place to get DMs was at a place called Shellys in Camden Town, North London. This part of London (and to an extent today) was a rough and gritty area of mods, rockers, bikers, punks,and everything else. It was brilliant. I wore DMs, all my teen years for the aggressive look and attitude they gave off. They still have that feel and look. Now I wear them for their comfort and aggro look. The boots don't need breaking in like the early years. They fit a tad too big, so I just wear heavier socks. I still get a lot of look and comments. They last for years. Great company and great shoes.

Do something good for your feet - wrap those babies in a pair of classic Dr. Martens! You will be glad you did! AND - Zappos is the place to get them - lightning fast shipping and customer service nirvana!

My husband purchased these Docs through my account. He loves them. They arrived very quickly and in perfect condition. He walked around the apartment first, just to make sure they fit well. Once he knew he'd keep them, he wore them outside and fell even more in love with them. They are comfortable and cool and not as heavy as you might imagine, given that they're Docs. We'll most certainly be buying more shoes from Zappos, as this is our second successful buying experience with them. You can't beat the free shipping.

I read somewhere that Dr. Martens were first sold in England on April 1st 1960. After wearing these boots for a day I wondered how they ever made it to April 2nd. "Absolute murder" is probably the best way I could describe how they felt that first day. By the second day however, they started breaking in and, as the saying goes, what a difference a day makes! Once they break in and start molding themselves to your foot, you'll find these to be the most comfortable pair of boots you've ever worn. I used to wear athletic shoes all the time but the problem was I wore them out too fast at work, so I finally decided to grow up and get a real pair of shoes for work. These Dr. Marten’s 1460 boots are one of the best purchases I have ever made. My only advice is to give them at least a week or so to break in. I swear I was looking for that return tag after the first day, but now a week later I wouldn't give them back for anything!

Love the boots. I've bought them before, but in the size that matches my regular street shoes and sneakers, and that seemed too small. I'd recommend buying a size up, if you're prone to having your boots wear your feet in instead of your feet wearing your boots in.

First off I would like to say how great Zappos service is. I ordered them one day and they were here the next. Excellent. Now onto the boots themselves. First, do not order a size up. I did this and ended up having to return for my shoe size (there more like shoes then boots, sorta), but once you get the right size these are excellent boots. They’re very comfortable when walking around. For me, at least, there wasn't much of a break in. I got the black greasy witch I'm guessing has softer leather then the regular. Overall nice boot and recommend to anyone looking for some new footwear.

I bought a pair of the green for work and the compliments keep pouring in. Everybody wants a pair now! They broke in less than two days and the bouncing soles keep my feet a lot happier than my old boots did. I have to tell you I just absolutely love mine and plan on buying more in other colors. They also arrived in perfect condition. VERY WORTH THE MONEY.

I used to wear Airwalks but noticed my arch was falling and the sole wore out very quickly so I tried Dr. Martens because I had a pair when I was about 13 and they were the most comfy boot or shoe I have ever worn before. Thanks Zappos for selling them at a descent price.

A Boot That Has Stood the Test of Time -
Let's face it...Dr. Martens have been around for many years and many different fashion trends have included them, from Punk and Sid Vicious to Grunge and Cobain, and everything before, in between and after, so they are legendary. I bought these with the best intentions and was highly satisfied with what I got, being an avid wearer of boots, I have worn many brands, both good and bad, and know a little bit about the anatomy and what to look for. Sure, the breaking in period is a little tedious and long, but that's leather, folks. All in all, don't buy blindly from newer boot companies who try to pass of Chinese plastic as leather, Follow the way of the Good Doctor and buy a 63 year legend of footwear!

I love my Dr. Martens! And I love Zappos!!! They arrived earlier than expected. Took me a day or two to break them in. I'm normally a size 8.5, but read the other reviews and everyone said they ran a little big. I got the 8s and no problem at all. My feet are also a little wide but there is plenty of room in my Docs.
