Will definitely recommend every one buying a size down with this boot. I always wear us11 in everything and had to return the size uk10 which is a us11 but they where too big so I returned them with the awesome and fast service of Zappos and got a uk9-us10 and they fit nice, just have to break them in and it should be just fine.

At first I got the UK 9, knowing that it would be too big. Of course it was since Docs in general tend to run larger. I was just hoping it would fit since the UK 8 was out of stock for a good month. I am happy that I waited this long to get my size because I love these shoes. Quality is, of course, superb! Just have to remember to order a size down.

Just what I was looking for. Stylish but rugged enough to wear through slush and salt without worrying about harming the leather. They are very stiff at first, but after a few wears they are adequately broken in.

I'm British so have worn Dr.Martens for most of my adult life, the shoes for work in a suit, the work boots for work in the rough, and now these Chelsea boots for casual with jeans. Due to the quality and durability of the leather they are always stiff at first, they generally take around 3-5 hours of walking to break in, but in 30 minutes sessions to avoid rub/blisters, and these Chelsea boots are no exception. But once you've broken them in, wow they are so comfortable, the Air Wair sole is the choice of the British police force who still actually walk on the streets they protect, and it makes walking literally like walking on air. I walk for miles and miles once the shoe is broken in. Additionally, I could say a Dr.Marten is for life, only because I can't yet think of a pair I have thrown away for falling apart, yes I've upgraded style or had a change, but they never fail on you. I have US13E feet but these fit fine in the Medium, they are a spacious boot.

So this is the 2nd pair of Chelseas that I've owned- the 1st pair of Browns I owned gave me 6 years of loyal service and was my favorite, all-purpose boot. This Oxblood varient is filling its predecessors 'shoes' very well! Its comfortable, easy to get on/off, goes well with black/brown/khaki/jeans- in the week that I've had them I've been very pleased! I felt them to be true to size- the US9 fits my 8.5 ot 9 foot well.

These shoes were possibly my favorite winter shoes! I am in the process of selling them because they are too big for me. I tried to make them work because of how much I loved them, but I can't handle it anymore. Since they are men's sizes, and I am a woman, they did run quite large. I would recommend sizing down! They are such a fashion statement and you will get compliments on them everywhere!

These are really stiff at first but I’m breaking them in. They’re hard to get in too since the opening is narrow to fit around your ankle. But I like the look.

I am a true 10.5 in Women’s. I ordered an 11 based on reviews, and because I wanted room for thicker socks. They were very large - perhaps a full size too large. I returned them and haven’t decided if I’ll try the 10. I love the style and of course the quality is perfect.

I’ve owned Dr Martens for over 25 years. Have always held up great and broken in nicely. I figured I would give these a try. I wasn’t disappointed. They fit great out of the box. Were comfortable. Actually felt larger than any pair I’ve owned in the past (wider and longer). Had no problem sliding my foot into the boot as some have stated. A little different of a style without laces and the yellow stitching, but they look great with jeans or khakis. I’d buy again.

Very comfortable and stylish. Boots top front hits my shin when I walk, hopefully it looses up later.

Oh, Doc Martens and the half-size challenge... These are such handsome boots, but I can't wear a picture. When they fit okay, they are too big, they look borrowed. When they look nice, they are exactly 1/3 of a size too small. Sad, me.

These were comfortable when I tried them on and even had good width in the toe box. Unfortunately they were super difficult to to get on. I wonder if they would loosen up with time, but at this price I didn't want to risk being stuck with something that I would find too much of a hassle to ever wear. Love Dr Martens soles and the style was nice.

The leather was incredibly stiff and the elastic on the boot shaft doesn’t stretch. It was impossible to get my foot in the boot. I do have a high arch and run into that issue with some tall boots but never a short one. Too bad because it looks nice.

Bigger and bulkier than anticipated

The leather of this boot is very stiff and as I walked in them, the stiff leather folded and dug into the top of my foot. I think with "breaking in" it might be wearable, but I didn't want to take that chance. The boot themselves are very stylish and well constructed but the leather was just too stiff.

I really wanted to love this shoe. waaaayyy too big and really stiff. needs to be smaller and broken in

These are tiny shoes, I wear a 14, these I could not even get my foot into.

The size 8 fit my 8.5 feet, but this boot was narrower than other Doc Marten boots and was quite tight on the top of my feet. I tried ordering the size 9, though the boots were way too large.

Huge. Way too big. I'm always a size 8 in every shoe, every brand. These were at least a full size too big.

Love the look, style, and comfort of these boots; however, after wearing for 2 days I could not believe how HUGE they were feeling on my feet! The width felt enormous, like I was sloshing around in them! I could not understand why, until taking my boots off, and setting them next to my Blundstones - I realized how much BIGGER they looked! I investigated further, and discovered THIS IS A MEN’S BOOT! I selected/ordered a women’s size 8, but received A MEN’S SIZE 7! How deceiving!! A men’s 7 is NOT a women’s 8! Not even close. The width is significantly wider, and generally women have to go down 2 sizes when wearing a men’s shoe! The box I received the boots in was blank and generic, the website description is FAR from adequate, if not deceptive, and these are NOT inexpensive boots! BE AWARE when ordering! I cannot even wear these, and am terribly disappointed! No more Zappos for me.

No half size so just frustrating trying to find a boot that fits
