Ran small, narrow, and felt flat and hard.
I've been wearing Hoka's for many many years and my size has been consistently the same.
I depend on Hoka's for cushion, good fit and support, and this Speedgoat was neither.
Sadly, because I really liked their look, had to return them.
Did not think it was worth exchanging for a larger size.

One usually can't go wrong with Hokas, but the design of this shoe has a lot to be desired. I could have gone up a size easily and I still don't think they would have fit right. I expected a soft cushion too, but the shoe was very stiff.

The shoe is tight fitting and the odd tongue isn't moveable and had a fold which created a bruise on top of my feet. At the end of the day when I sat down my feet immediately started to swell to the point I had to take the shoes off. Had to return.

Not the same type of comfortable shoe i usually get from hoka. The heel was weird and pinched back on the left one and they weren't nearly as supportive as I need. Can't wear them.

I wore them and purchased another pair since I think 2024 they may have changed their design. The last pair I purchased this year was beyond stiff not comfortable.

The toe box is extremely narrow in both width and height, causing my big toe to rub on the top of the shoe. I always wear the same size in other Hoka models, so this was unexpected. Unfortunately, I purchased them from a vendor that doesn't accept returns. This is the first time a Hoka fit has disappointed meand I have very narrow feet. Hoping they feel better once broken in.

The shoes fit great but after wearing them for the day at work 8 hours my feet ache
I also have a white pair I am saving for summer do you think they will hurt my feet like the ones I am wearing now?
The reason I bought them is I only heard good things.

The tongue is sewn in, immovable and uncomfortable. Despite loosening the laces as much as possible, it’s really hard to get your foot in. The forked tongue also makes it hard to grip as you are trying it on. Once on, the tongue is really uncomfortable on the top of your foot. I loved my older Speedgoat GTX but these are going back.

So disappointed in the changes made to the Speedgoat 6 GTX!!! I am a HOKA devotee and have had 5 previous speedgoats, 4s and 5s and a mid. The 5 was even better than the 4. When I needed to get new ones I saw the uncharacteristic poor reviews for the 6 but decided to give them a try anyway. Such a different shoe, wider toe box but a snub type toe, tongue is not padded enough and the shoe is just so stiff. Really wanted to love it but just not comfortable as the others were right out of the box. Please HOKA make a new Speedgoat and use the 5 as the model....the saying don't fix it if it ain't broke really applies here!!

I have been wearing speedgoats since the beginning - and this new change in the 6 is so upsetting. These shoes feel nothing like those of the past. I loved the speedgoats for the cushion, the comfort, the grippy sole. No other shoe compared to long days out on trail. First of all the sizing is different. A size 7 used to fit me like a glove, now I feel like I'm weirdly between a 6.5 wide and a 7. The sole is separating from the upper mesh. They are much narrower than previous models. The cushion is much less, so the shoe feels so much stiffer. The tongue design is terrible. Its like everything that was beloved about the speedgoat & stood out against the competition was completely taken away. I have tried to make these work, but alas, I will be moving on to a different shoe.

These were my first pair of Hokas and I really loved the look and that were Gore-Tex as well. They felt good in the store, the tongue was weird at first trying on but didn't think much of it. Well after wearing them for a few days and trying adjusting the laces and all the tongue and laces were hurting the front/top of my ankle/foot. Super disappointed I had to return them. Please re-do this style and fix the tongue! They were super comfy to walk on and the style is very cool. I sized up as well but ended up returning them and buying new balances instead.

I have a couple other Hokas that are very comfortable. These are not wide which I ordered for wearing winter socks. Too narrow/small and just uncomfortable with lightweight socks. If Hoka makes comfortable shoes, sad they cannot do that with these Gortex sneakers. If we are outdoors in yucky weather, we want comfortable shoes.

I ordered these in a wide and compared to my other Hokas that are wide, these are definitely not widein fact they seem smaller than a normal size.

I thought these were great at first, but after a 6.25 mile run, I had a bruise under my big toe from a pressure point. I can't wear these anymore. I love Hokas but not this one.

This is my 6th pair of SpeedGoats. The current version ("6") is not at all cushy; super stiff and unconfortable (even though it has a lot of foam). My feet and knees hurt after a run.
Also, shoe is 'bigger' - wider, little longer - so does not fit as well.

Appearance wise, these shoes are great. Unfortunately, there’s no support. The fit is wrong. Not sure what happened with the design but I’ve had shoes half the price with better quality and support. Wish I could say something nice.

Ok- bought them for the waterproofness but that are not where near as soft and comfortable as my other hokas.

I run and hike several times a week. The toe box is smaller on the Speedgoat 6, and the tongue is cut low and sharply with thin fabric. The 4 had a higher, more padded tongue which felt so good. The 6 cuts into my ankle even with thick socks. Very disappointed.

This shoe runs very small. if you have wide feet, don’t bother ordering these. The wide width is not wide at all.

I ordered these in a size 9, which has fit me in all the other Hoka styles. They are huge! I find myself tripping over my toes on hikes they are so long. They are also extremely wide. Again I am very used to Hoka and their width. It makes for a really awkward hiking experience, I feel like I'm wearing clown shoes. My boyfriend recently purchased the men's, and those seem to fit him fine, but the loop on the back of the shoe immediately ripped off when he pulled his shoe on for the first time. Bummer! They have potential to be good shoes.
I waited too long to do the exchange for a different size unfortunately,

The Speedgoat 6 is not a plush shoe and the shoe is narrower than the Speedgoat 5. The shoe offers no stability. This shoe is definitely not up to the job of a backpacking shoe for those reasons. I wore it for a 25 mile backpacking trip and ended up in an orthotic boot for 8 weeks due to bone bruises.
