The Torrent 4 added stack, deeper lugs, and some strange, additional sole material sticking out the back of the shoe. I believe many of us Torrent 3 wearers liked the simplicity and responsiveness. They were great for less-technical trail and gravel. While several updates are fine, the shoes were completely changed. I wore them recently on a technical trail and the additional back sole stuck between rocks several times. That part of the shoe seems way overdone. I hope that some of the changes are evaluated.

I purchased these shoes for my wife. She does trail running and has only worn them 5 times. The heel grip is already detaching. Not what I would expect from this brand..

I have worn every generation of the Hoka Torrents. This was my go-to shoe for my 2019 Appalachian Trail thru-hike (went through 5 pair). I wore the Torrent 3s on my 2024 Colorado Trail thru-hike. I LOVED this shoe. Needless to say, I was very excited to try the 4th generation. They arrived and the minute I put them on, I knew they were not going to work. They felt much narrower and longer. I previously wore a 7.5, but this size didn't work with the 4s. Also, they added awkward "fins" that stuck out on the heel. As I was stepping down from rocks on the trail, the fins would get caught and cause me to pitch forward and almost fall down. I had to return my 4s. I wish Hoka would come out a retro model that reflects the style and feel of the old Torrent 2s or 3s. I would be a very happy camper.

We own 10 pairs of hookers so far everyone was fine. This is supposed to be a size 7 in women’s and it seems to be an eight if not larger than a woman’s size.

The tread is peeling away from the sole and the red below the logo going around the shoe is also peeling. This is my first pair of Hokas and will probably be my last.

I will preface by saying I have already begun the process of exchanging the shoes, as I have worn Hoka's for several years and have never had this happen. Where the fuschia coloring meets the foam/bottom of the shoe, is already deteriorating and flaking off! I have been wearing them for less than 3 weeks!

Sadlyy this latest update to the design makes the shoes not fit as well as the provious models. I loved my Torrent 2 and Torrent 3's and theese run big and the extra design feature on the top of the shoe where your foot bends is not comfortable. My foot is between 6 and 6.5 ( closer to 6.5) . In the previous model I wore a 6.5. I had to return them. Please go back to the model 3 design !
