I have worn out several pairs of Mach 5s. They have been my favorite running shoes ever. I was excited to try the Mach 6. I bought the same size as my 5s, and I bought 1/2 a size up based on these reviews. I ended up needing the larger size. They look great, and I like the materials. I could tell that they were more cushioned than the 5s. However, my arches were screaming from the start, and they never really felt right throughout the whole first run. I decided to give them another run, and it was the exact same. I had to return them. I am so disappointed. They may end up being great shoes for someone, but they are not what the 5s were. I tried to sort out what was not working for me. The arch support just isn't there anymore. That was the main point. Second, I noticed that the entire inside of my foot doesn't feel supported, and as I step, my foot is sort of rolling inward. If I forced myself to run landing on full heel strike, it would rock smoothly and feel fine, but if I put my foot down in any other motion, it would start to roll in and cause some discomfort.

As a first time Hoka buyer, I was expecting the shoes to be more comfortable. My feet hurt every time I run in my new machine 6s. I hope they will get more comfortable as I break them in.

I've been running in the Mach 5 for over 500 miles. I love the Mach 5, but it was time to get new shoes, so I went to get more Mach 5s. Thinking Mach 6 should be about the same. Nope not even close. These feel like Nike. More narrow, little drop just not comfortable. I ran a few miles hoping it would change my mind, but today was it. I will have to get a different shoe. If you decide to get these, get a half size up. It wasn't true to size for me.

I purchased my first pair of HOKA's in 2022 - a Mach 5. I absolutely LOVED this shoe. It fit like a glove, felt like a cloud, and was so comfortable for running and walking. Over the course of 1-2 years, I walked and ran hundreds, if not thousands of miles in my Mach 5's. Unfortunately, the time had come for a new pair, but Mach 5's were being phased out. I figured a Mach 6 would not be terribly different. Well, I was wrong. While the shoe has a nice aesthetic look, I noticed that A) the shoe felt a lot tighter on my foot than the Mach 5 and B) after a couple weeks the toe tip started to feel very hard/rigid. I reached out to HOKA Customer Support and filed a warranty claim, requesting a replacement pair thinking it was a one-off issue. Upon receiving the new pair and wearing them a couple of weeks, I realized the issue prevailed, and it was clear that the issue was this shoe model. To go from having a shoe I absolutely loved to a newer model of the same shoe and being severely let down was not the best experience. I ended up filing another warranty claim and was issued a refund. There might be another HOKA model out there I will like as much as the Mach 5's, but the Mach 6's was not it.

I am on my second pair of Hoka and unfrotuantely the durability and value seems to be diminishing for me. I have been using shoe about 2-3 times in a week and I already feel the shoe tough falling apart. Most of the printed details on the shoe have also faded (mostly due to be worn on long pants/jeans) but I have not seen these to be case with other brands. Shoe is comfortable but if you are looking for durability and vaule look elsewhere.

I was a shameless devotee to the Mach 5s for the past couple of years, and have logged thousands of miles across 7 pairs. With my last pair due for retirement, I decided to give the newer model a shot. I truly wanted to like these, and appreciate some of the improvements, but I had to send them back. The fit is not the same; I find my heel slipping in these, and to combat this, I have to tighten them down to the point that my feet go numb. They don't feel as light and snappy, and I feel like I'm fighting against them to keep my pace where I normally am at. It feels more like running in sand as opposed to foam springs. I can go about 5 miles in them before I start getting hip pain, which I've never experienced in the 5's. The sole is narrower, which hasn't caused me any issues yet, but as a frequent ankle-roller, I appreciated the wider platform to go with the stack height on the 5's. I appreciate the added rubber to the soles for durability purposes, but I'd gladly trade it back for my old stalwarts. I'll keep my hopes up if/when the 7's come out, but for now, I'm off to find a different pair of shoes.

I am an average dad runner doing 7-15mi per week in various workouts (sprints, tempo, and long runs of about 5mi) all on the road. I have used three Machs before and loved them. However, the Mach 6 feels very unstable, even though I don't need stability shoes. Unlike previous versions, the Mach 6 feels like you are going to roll your ankle in either direction if you make the slightest of turns. I also get quite a bit of heel rub and blisters on these as well. On the plus side, the cushioning is great and still feels light and quick.

Shoe felt bouncy and soft upon step in, the it just didn't feel right. It felt unstable, and unnatural on foot. This shoe fits an entire size too small, I recommend going a full size up, but then again, I don't know if that will solve the early taper in the toes. If you don't like an aggressive rocker then avoid this shoe as well. Too different than the Mach 5 and I do not recommend.

These shoes started squeaking right out of the box. I hoped a couple of runs might break them in and stop the squeak, bit it did not. Otherwise a good running shoe

I do not like these shoes. The Mach 5 was a great shoe with a great fit. The 6's are super narrow (and I don't even have wide feet). They are too tall in the midsole and the added outsole tread is weirdly sticky. Ran in them for 2 weeks and couldn't stand it anymore. bought another pair of Mach 5's before they are gone forever. I do NOT recommend this shoe, especially if you loved the 5's.

I recently purchased Hoka Profly Mach 6 to replace my Profly Mach 5. The Profly 5 purchased last summer had 1000 miles on them and the heels had worn holes on the backside inside of the shoe while the soles were worn down flat. The Mach 5 were my first Hoka and fit like a glove (sz10.5), light as a feather and cushion like a dream. Initial try of the Mach 6 was a little tighter across the width of my foot (same size) but good snug fit, nice cushion and again, light as a feather. The thin tongue and flat laces was something new with Hoka but I have actually come to like it as it stays in place well on longer distances. It's been a little over a week and 50 miles now, the tightness across the width of my foot persists and is not very comfortable, sometimes cutting off circulation and making my toes numb. I measured across the area on the Mach 6 vs Mach 5 and it's a 1/4 inch less - could be wear but we will see if they wear in and stretch a little - I did not have this problem on the Mach 5. The heel fit on the other hand is a bit loose which leads to my heel moving up and down in the shoe on longer distances 10 miles and up and starts developing chafe and blisters. The Mach 5 had a little of this and Mach 6 seems to have more of it. Perhaps it's my foot? I still love the light weight and cushion but if the shoe does not loosen up a little in the width I will probably not use Hoka in the future. Wish they had kept the last from Mach 5, loved that shoe and several friends and family bought it.

First pair I bought lost the layer of tread within a couple hours of wear. Got a refund and decided to give them another chance. Same exact shoe experienced the same defect in a couple days. The adhesive they use on the tread is not sufficient. Need to change the way the tread is connected to the shoe.

Wore these shoes for the first time and they gave a bouncy give and feel of lacking support of older models. Also the bottom squeak when walking.

After running down my Mach 5s I decided to upgrade. After initially feeling narrow and much more plush I tried them out on longer runs. They are significantly more narrow and speed runs caused a lot of rubbing and uncomfortable pressure. I was a huge fan of the Mach 5 for speed runs and this did not cooperate with my feet. I love the style and the tread of the shoe, but the fit just does not match earlier versions.

After wearing this pair of sneakers for about 30 days, the sole separated from the base, causing me to fall during a run. As a result, I fractured my ribs, bruised my knee, and damaged my iPhone. I've run in several pairs of Hoka shoes before, but this is the first time I've experienced an issue like this.

I bought these shoes for my husband who has successfully worn HOKAs for many years. I usually buy a 10.5 size and they are very comfortable. He has been wearing the new pair for weeks, trying to break them in, but unfortunately he decided he can't wear them anymore. They are too tight on his toes and cause numbness. He loosened the laces so it's not because they are laced too tight.

To figure out what size I needed, I went to a local store to try on the Mach 6. Size 11 at the store fit great and that has been the size I have previously purchased for the Mach. I found the color combination I liked better online than at the store. Chose a size 11. When I recieved the item it didn't fit anywhere near what the shoe I tried on at the store. It was a half to a full size too small. It wouldn't be a big deal if I wasn't overseas. However, it cost too much to exchange the shoe. It is unfortunate that I cannot trust the shoe size online, becuase it limits the shoe combination I prefer.

I have returned this item. It was sent back to you with an explanation of its inferior stitching and assembly. I own three other pair (1 Mach 6 and 2 Clifton 9s) all the same size 10.5D and they all fit perfectly. After a few days of wearing the shoe and having my feet suffering it was apparent something was wrong with it. My letter in the return box asks for either a full refund or exchange for a Clifton 9 size 10.5D or Mach 6 size 10.5 2E. I prefer an exchange.

They are very comfortable when trying on but when running it kills your Achilles/Ligaments/Tendons. Running shoes are getting to caught up in softness of soles. Your brain cant differentiate the steps and instead of putting pressure on the bottom of your foot it goes straight to your Achilles Tendons and Ligaments/calfs. Dont be dooped these shoes suck when running and are to soft.

I am on my second defected pair . I wore the first pair less than 10 times and the sole started coming off. I was outside the return window, and only eligible for a site credit. The shoes are extremely comfortable, so I got the exact shoe. The sole on the second pair started coming off in the exact same spot. I may have worn them 5 times It is obviously a manufacturer defect. Hoka will not refund my money, only a site credit. Hopefully, I can find a pair that are comfortable and do not fall apart.

Ridiculously light weight but generously uncomfortable I ordered the shoe online, I put it on in my living room, and there are a number of other shoes in the market that are much more comfortable. I returned to them. I was extremely disappointed that I got charged for return shipping, just to try out their product.
