So far I've used multiple Cliftons, Challengers, and now the Torrent. The Torrent 4 has the best arch support and a much larger toe box compared to the others. I wear them mostly while coaching baseball on turf, grass, dirt. The grip is great!

It's fast, precise, and protective. I do a 5-K+, 1,200 ft. ascent speed hike, several days a week on a challenging, rugged trail with lots of jagged rocks, both large and small, with many loose. These are the best Torrent's yet. I love the Speedgoats, Mafates, and Anacapas, but I might love these Torrent's the best. And who can beat that price.

I own another pair of Hoka's and had first purchased them in Providence, MA. While doing a lot of walking in P-Town and in Boston - these were the most comfortable shoes I had ever worn. I do a lot of running as well - so I use that pair for running and these shoes for casual walking. I've already received multiple compliments within the first days of breaking them in!

The fit was too tight. I should have ordered a 1/2 size larger. For some reason the outside of the shoe seemed higher than the inside and made me walk pigeon toed?

Great shoe for trail running and backpacking. Great toe box. Good traction and wear. Wouldn't change a thing.

i do a lot of hiking in trails near my house and have tried all kids off shoes- these have proven to be the best so far- comfortable and the traction on the terrain is awesome.

I used to run trails when I was doing Spartan Races and wore another brand. It was bad but something was missing. With these shoes I can find what I was missing, comfort and stability. I feel more secure on every step

3 weeks ago I was in Costa Rica running a trail and took a spill about 35 feet down a mountain. I resolved to search out and find the best shoe I could for running traction in all surfaces. Where I was was a dry forest with a lot of scree and roughly 1000 ft. of ascent on a 4 mile trail roundtrip. I needed a shoe that could handle wet, dry, scree, grass, etc. I bought two pairs because of the return policy and the reviews. Went out today for a test run doing hills with all of the surfaces other than sand. Running downhill was easy and I immediately knew the shoe would grip. Going uphill I was not afraid of a misstep causing a fall. Then running on a flat surface I found the shoe to be well cushioned.
I will buy another two pair immediately because I hate when I find a great shoe and then it quits being sold.

This is almost the perfect trail runner! Light weight, best traction and still plush over rocks and challenging terrain. Put them on and forget about the shoes, just concentrate on the trail. Great shoe, surprisingly understated in the Hoka lineup, but should be noted as one of the best.

Bought them looking for a pair of shoes that provided traction and comfort while coaching baseball! Great grip on turf, grass, and dirt!
Would like a little more heel cushion/rise but they were great.

I've been looking to buy a HOKA shoe for some time now but I've never liked the big poofy sole that I see on most HOKA's. I found this one on sale and decided to take a chance. Glad I did as it's a very comfortable shoe. I've worn it walking and hiking so far and I definitely think it's a great shoe. I'm a bigger guy so comfort is a must. Too many shoes don't have all the impact resistant soles that I need to support my weight. I'm looking to shed a few pounds so I think this will really motivate me to get out and walk more.
