I returned this not because of the sizing but because this is not a comfortable shoe. It has no arch support and the collar around the ankle rubs.

Got these for my 9 year old in size 3.5 Wide. We prefer New Balance for him because of the availability of wide widths (Nike brand is too narrow for him). He likes to have plenty of space for comfort and these shoes also fit well. I like that the laces are long enough to easily double-knot; however, I wish there were double holes up by the ankle like some lace ups have, which would help to get a more secure fit around the ankles. Overall, though, they are a good purchase for this price point.
