The Ghost Max SE is a very comfortable casual shoe, but if you are running, get the regular Ghost Max. This shoe fits true to size if not a little bit short. The extra thick suede toe cap makes it stiff up front, which isnt great for running. However, walking in this shoe is very comfortable Everything about it feels plush and secure, and I had no slipping or irritation. This is a neutral shoe, but feels very stable. The max cushion and 6mm drop ensure your feet will not hurt, even after a long day. The suede overlays and grey color tell me Brooks are going after the popular NB990, and they are succeeding. Wearing this shoe at work, I had several compliments and a few customers wanted to buy this model on the spot. Overall, I think Brooks did a good job with this. But again, if you are running, dont get the SE as the suede is just too much. Get it for casual use and you wont regret it.
This shoe was provided at no charge by Brooks in exchange for a review. All thoughts are me own.

These are very comfortable and offer good support and cushioning. I didn't give them 5 stars, however, because the flat shoelaces are terrible -- they come untied too easily. Brooks once had rounded laces that were much better.

I found the shoe to be ok. It wasn't what I had expected but I'm not completely disappointed. I was expecting something similar to the Ghost and I found it to be quite a bit different. That being said I will give it a fair chance!

I love brooks in general but the way some of these newer ones wear out is confusing. The shoe looks great and Ive been wearing them for a few months now. Not areas like the heel and side wall have started to split. Its not even in the high traction areas so Im puzzled by how this happens. These are my 20 something pair of brooks over the years but they seem to last less then 6 months now compared to 14 months then. Keeping in mind I ran more then than now. So overall its a nice shoe but it wont really last.

Love, Love, Love these. Bought them specifically for treadmill work in the winter. Doing a 10k a day and no new aches and pains and some of my knee pain is gone. Im now wearing them on my outdoor runs too and they are equally as awesome on the street.

These are my first pair of Ghost Max 2. The Ghose Max 2 has to be the most comfortable shoe in the Brooks lineup. You will not be disappointed.

As a longtime Dyad wearer who uses orthotics and is on his feet for 8+ hour daily, I was concerned that I would not find a suitable replacement shoe. I tried the Ghost Max 2 because Brooks suggested it. These shoes aren't at all the same. The extra squishy footbed of the Ghost Max hurts my knees on both sides, tightens my hips, and causes my arch on one foot to feel super stretched out due to the squishyness of both ball and heel. I broke them in slowly by going on walks and using them for short periods of standing, hoping I would adapt. Will be sending them back and sadly trying other brands. I need a stable, neutral shoe that is not rockered and isn't like walking on foam.

Brooks is all I buy my other brooks and the Ghost same comment very comfortable I use these for every day use also every time we are in Disney World. We all know you put a lot of miles on your feet in Disney but myself and my wife have no discomfort with Brooks on our feet.

I am sure that it is a great shoe for runners. My situation is a bit different, being 76 with some considerable wear and tear issues from past running and other things, including 1 foot being fused. For my purposes, this shoe is far too squishy making it not a stable platform. I had used Dyads for decades and was trying to find a suitable replacement after they were discontinued. This isnt it
