These shoes are very cushioned, but dangerous. I have trouble standing up when wearing these. It’s like trying to stand on a ball. I often fall back onto whatever I was sitting on. Yesterday I was sitting on a chair, tipped backwards, knocked the chair over, fell on it, and cracked the chair back. Once standing, I’m okay, because I actually have a good sense of balance. But, walking in these is taxing. I thought the cushioning would help, but it’s like walking on sand. Your calf muscles work harder than you should walking on a sidewalk. I hoped that maybe the cushion was in the insole and I could buy an insole that was more stabilizing. However, the insole is thin. The cushioning is built in. Until yesterday’s fall, I planned to tough it out, but given the damage done to my dining room chair and the potential of getting seriously injured, I’m going to have to buy a different shoe. But standing still? So comfortable.
