The cushioning is nice, borderline excessive. The problem is that the top of the shoe near the toes presses down onto the toes. It's not a shoe width issue, it's the height of the toe box that causes the problem. I've never experienced this issue with prior New Balance shoes. Something is off with the 1080v14.

I REALLY wanted to love these shoes because the toe box is wide and they’re very comfortable. Unfortunately I have to agree with others; they feel very unstable. A pillow type cushion is one thing but these make you loose your balance. I’m not elderly and I never skip leg day so it’s not about having weak legs or balance issues. That lack of a solid foundation makes your feet shift and hit in different ways with every movement. What convinced me to return them was when I would slip them off and put on a recovery sandal, I’d feel myself still having “sailor legs” from this unstable shoe. The positives; a truly neutral shoe and a low heel drop.

After wearing these shoes for 2 short days at work, the left shoe is making a loud popping sound when I walk. Plan to return.

Why do shoe companies have to change a good fitting, comfortable shoe? Have the New Balance 1080 fresh foam and love them. The 1080v14 is so different in look and fit and my feet hurt after wearing them around the house.

These shoes were returned by someone else they obviously had the same problem as I did I could not get my foot into when I finally did they were far to tight. I have worn this shoe before and did not have any problems somewhere the style and fit has changed!

I have been wearing the NB 880 v. 14 for several years and the new 880 v. 15 did not allow me to wear my inserts inside of the shoe, so I gave the NB 1080 v. 14 a try. The increased stack height of the NB 1080 was too high for me unfortunately.

I don't care for the shoes a all. I tried them on to see how they felt. My feet not only throb but we're painful .

i did not like the feeling of rolling back as I walk

This shoe made my foot chunky. I thought the color was okay however the excess sole made my feet clumsy. Not very appealing. They have fair cushioning; however moderate to no arch support. I ordered an 8.5 wide, unfortunately the shoe was narrow. Cutting back on toe area is a NO NO.

Fair to good cushioning; however almost no arch support. Foot felt too tight eventhough I ordered a 8.5 Wide. Shoe looks clunky. Not very appealing. The color was so so had the shoe not been so clunky.

This shoe is nothing like the Fresh Foam X 1080 v13 it is horrible. I have several pairs of the v13 and love them. Booo New Balance!

The light blue versions of the 1080 V14 appear to run a half size smaller than some of the others. I always wear a 9.5 in the 1080 and I have 2 other pairs of the 1080/14 that fit fine in a 9.5, but these are unexplainably smaller! They feel more like a 9. Also tried a pair of the same color from another store and had the same issue. Odd.

The sole of this shoe is too thick for me. It makes me unstable.I have underpronation when I walk.

The width was perfect but the arch does not fit my foot. It threw me off balance so I will be returning the shoe.
