Soles are too think and cushioned. There is such a thing as too much. The "support" in this shoe is like a designer misunderstanding what a foot actually needs. These are ridiculous. The foot does not have a natural heel to toe range of motion in this shoe. I don't know what happened to New Balance. I returned these.

Ignore the suggestions to size up. This shoe seems to run pretty close to true to size. I ordered an 11 (never worn an 11 in my life), and they were huge (even after I put my orthotics in them). Thankfully, I also ordered a 10.5, which was better, but also still a little too large. No need to try again -- these shoes looked like I had bricks on my feet, and seemed fairly wide. I had to check to make sure I hadn't ordered a Wide (which I also never do, even though I have a slightly wide foot). These just looked terrible. When your foot is a size 10 (in sneakers), you tend to want shoes that don't make them look bigger than they already are. They bagged out at the arch, which made them look like bricks. Tightening the laces did nothing to remedy this.

Because of the toe box being pointed the I needed 1/2 size larger

Great shoes, but for me they are to short and too thight.

These were a gift for my sister. She has a very high arch and also heel pain/plantar fasciitis. Her DPM recommended New Balance. My sister LOVES these shoes- the heels provide the cushioning she needs, and the arch support is firm while accommodating her higher arches. Jean said she almost cried when she received them because they feel so good and she's wearing them now! Walking is her exercise outlet, and now she can. Thank you!

Very supportive and stylish.

I didn't like the fit of the arch and the shoes were hard to put on. Overall not my favorite New Balance style.

These are very comfortable, true to size and are lightweight. I love using them to walk the treadmill.

These shoes run a bit smaller. I wear size 8 in other NB shoes but 8 and 8.5 were both way too small on my feet. They are so stylish though and so comfy.

I had to return the first pair and go a half size larger. These were fine with width (I wear a medium width) but were quite short. I've never had to size up to an 11 before. I don't know if it's a New Balance thing or just this style.

Initially I really liked this style. It seemed to be exactly what I was looking for: a comfortable, supportive shoe with good (but not marshmallow) cushioning for daily life and taking walks around the neighborhood (asphalt, no sidewalks). Unfortunately, after wearing the shoes pretty regularly for a week+, comfort gave way to pain in my back and the heels of both feet. It seems like this style throws off my posture and I don’t walk correctly when I’m wearing them. Switching to the 1080 style I’ve worn for years resolved the issues so I guess I’ll stick with those (which I love) for now and stop trying to mix things up.

Did not like being so white, even though I ordered it. I am returning it. Not sure about fit.
