I bought the size I always buy in Brooks running shoes and find these to be horribly uncomfortable. My toes are jamming into the front of the shoe as if it were too small. My feet feel terrible. I'm a huge fan of Brooks and was so hopeful that these Ghost Max would be great on the long run but they just aren't for me. My friend bought them as well and has the same issue. Not sure if I should go larger when I already buy my run shoes 1/2 size larger. I think the style just doesn't work for me

These are not as comfortable as the first ghost max. The tongue is big and very uncomfortable and jabs into the front of the ankle. Cushioning doesn't seem as good as the first ghost max either. I have planters fasciitis and these have inflamed it more when I wear whereas the first ghost max I had no issues with this.

The toe box in this new version is much smaller than in any previous Brooks shoe I've bought.

I was surprised to see how bulky they looked right out of the box when they came but I decided to give them a try. After wearing them a few times I have to say I'm disappointed with the lack of cush in the shoe.

Feels like the shoes run small. Or forces my toe forward. I didn't notice it until after my first run, so too late to return. A little frustrated that I will have to run these down before my next pair

I wear Brooks for walking and I love them. I got these for work and they are so uncomfortable. They make my back hurt. I have tried changing out the inserts to different types and even took the inserts out of another pair of Brooks and nothing has helped. Such a bummer.

Ordered a 1/2 size up based on reviews and the recommendation from AI, which was a size 10. I already have boat feet, but was exasperated in these walking shoes. The soles are too big, too wide and had no support for my feet which lead to cramping in the arches of my feet as each step was like walking on a foam bed that wasn't stable. These did not serve well with walking 10-20K steps a day. Ghost 13 will always remain my favorite and haven't had the same experience since.

I bought the Brooks Ghost Max 2 last month. At first, I was happy with the overall look and quality of the shoe. However, I quickly noticed an issue: the right shoe feels smaller than the left, which makes it uncomfortable to wear. One foot fits fine, but the other feels tight and off balance. Another problem is the inner material of the shoes. Compared to the price and brand reputation, it feels low quality and not as durable as expected. For a premium shoe, I was hoping for more consistency in size and better comfort inside. Overall, the shoe has potential, but these issues make it hard for me to recommend.

I have been buying the Ghost and Ghost Max shoes for years. I work 12+ hour shifts at a hospital and am on my feet all night. This is the first year I have been truly disappointed in the shoes. The toe box feels a lot smaller than the previous generation and the shoe feels more narrow. I'm not sure if I will be buying them again.

Love the way the shoes feel and took away the constant foot pain but I have had mine maybe 3 months and they are ripping away from the sole so this pair did not hold up well at all.

These hurt my left foot after wearing them about an hour. It feels like the toe box is too tight right along the arch and cramming my foot. I have tried my arch supports and other arch supports, but something is just off. I have 2 pairs of Ghost Max 2 that I ordered and sadly I cannot wear them.

Toe box is incredibly narrow, nothing light the original max. (I do not have a wide foot). Uncomfortable within 5 minutes of wearing. Unfortunately nothing like the first Ghost Max ( have owned 3 of those). I tried the wide version, still completely uncomfortable.

Not sure what happened to the design. Bought several pairs over the years and always fit perfectly. This time the arch was completely off and felt like the shoe was sized wrong(?). The arch hit in the wrong place and couldn't wear them more than 20 minutes before deciding to return them. So disappointed since I love this design.

No arch support, not as much foam as before, all the cloud like feel is gone. If you have flat feet, you might like it.

I have worn 'Ghosts' for years. The last few purchases were returned. They do not fit like they used to fit. I am not sure why but the last two pair (this one included) did not fit like my purchases several years ago.

These are not a true WIDE shoe and fit more like a REGULAR size. I purchased based on the fact that they would be a comp to Hoka Bondi 8s and they are not. Toe box is not near as wide and they also caused sore hips. I guess I have to pay the price and stick with Hoka. I really wanted these to work

I'm torn about this shoe. I have one pair in the coconut color. There is a bit of collapsing near the toe in the fabricBrooks sent me another pair which looked better, but still had the same issue. I kept them, though, because my podiatrist recommended them for recovery from bunion surgery and for knee pain. Part of the challenge is the sizing. It's weird. I'm a size 7 and had to go up to an 8.5. I wore the coconut pair on a 3-week trip to Europe with no issues, and was making good progress on my physical therapy and able to balance on my surgery foot. So I ordered another pair in the gray color. After I got back from Europe, I switched to this newer pair to avoid wearing out the other ones. Totally different situation. My foot slipped around and the insole pushed my foot to the outside of my foot, causing underpronation and wearing down on the outside of the shoe. I was wondering why I could no longer balance on my foot and why my gait seemed off, until I finally pulled out the insole and compared it to my other pair. It was much higher and the shoe was wider. Really disappointing considering it set me back on my recovery. I guess I like this shoewhen it fits rightbut the quality control isn't there. I wish the 8 fit properly because I think the 8.5 is slightly too long, and the insole quality control is also bad. I wish Brooks would make more shoes with a 6mm drop. It helps those with knee problems, but having only one option with these manufacturing issues stinks.

Nowhere near as comfortable as Ghost Max 1. Runs small. Cannot wear this shoe any more. PLEASE MAKE MORE STYLES IN EXTRA WIDE. A lot of people have bunions these days!

Been wearing Brooks for years but the toe box on the ghost has significantly narrowed. Switching to Altra now. So sad because I liked the brand overall.

I absolutely loved the original Ghost Max. However, the Ghost Max 2 hurt my heels, and I had to return them. Brooks - please return to the original design!

Brooks keeps making toe box smaller and smaller. My bunions and I will have to shop elsewhere.

I was so excited when I received these shoes because my feet was hurting anytime I walked and these shoes was so comfortable! After wearing them a few months the back of my foot started hurting and had a blister. I looked at the back of the shoes to see both had holes at the back of them! I only wear these shoes 5 days a week and I have a sit down job. I only walk on them on my hour lunch break when I walk on the treadmill and that's it! I take them off when I get home. There's no reason these Brooks Ghost Max 2 shoes are wearing out like this in a few months, I received these in December of 24! Do better Brooks. I will not buy anymore of your shoes until you improve the material inside the back of the shoes!!!

The shoe box had a big hole in the top, and the shoes looked like they had been worn. Since Amazon bought Zappos, the quality of Zappos products/packaging has deteriorated. I’ve been buying shoes from Zappos for years, but it’s time to go back to shopping at shoe stores.
