I have tried about a million shoes looking for one that took away my leg/knee pain. I work on my feet all day in the medical field. I tried other popular brands like Hoka and they just unfortunately didnt work for me. These shoes instantly felt like a match made in heaven. After one day of wearing them at work I could feel the difference. It has taken away my knee and feet pain as well as improved my back pain. I also do workout/walk and its amazing for that as well. 100 recommend! I even bought a pair for my mom who works on her feet all day and she loved them too! She said it helped with her plantar fasciitis!

Super comfortable and my feet feel fantastic at the end of the day. They are like walking on air.

I love my old Ghost max. The new one is noticeably narrower in the ball of the foot and too narrow for me. I noticed a change for the worse in quality of the shoe upper construction as well. No longer the shoe for me, alas!

Initially, I was hesitant about using these shoes. I was worried I would trip on my tread or roll an ankle. After running in them these past two weeks, that has not happened. They eliminated the toe and heel pain I was having with affecting my stride.

Very comfortable with cushioned sole. Lightweight. This color goes with everything and doesnt show dirt.

Comfortable shoes for my daily walk

I have been wearing the regular Ghost for years!! My favorite shoe!! Decided to branch out and love these even more! The extra padding is great!

Shoes are starting to look too big and bulky. I have over 20 pair and the last 3 pair look like clown shoes.

I have two pair of the Ghost MAX and wanted to try the Ghost MAX 2 when they came out. Honestly, I like to original Ghost MAX better. The height of the room for my great toe in the toe box is smaller in the Ghost MAX 2 so they just aren't as comfortable as the originals. Unfortunately, I didn't discover this soon enough to buy ahead and get another pair of the originals while they were available.

Great support and cushion. Previously wore the ghost max. I feel like the ghost max had better/softer cushion.

Really comfortable, great for walking and running. Even exercise. I would recommend ghost max.

Cushioning and support are great. But the tongue always slides down into one side after Ive done about an hour of walking. This compromises the support for which I bought the shoe.

Great cushioning and stability

I love this shoe. It fits my size 7 Wide feet perfectly and looks good too. I ordered two pair of the same Ebony sweet lavender alloy shoe. I would order more if there were more colors in a wide fit. That is my only complaint-there aren't color options in a wide fit.

Its wild how different these fit from older ghost maxes

I was cautiously optimistic about the Ghost Max 2 as I started with Ghost 7 and stuck with them. Being older now and a walker more than a runner, I was really looking for the extra cushion and support. I am happy to say I found it! The shoes are so comfortable and I really think they lessen the strain on my hips and knees. I am not confident my big toe won't poke through the upper too soon, but I am still happy with the purchase.

These are my new walking shoes! I previously had Brooks walkers and then Hokas. I came back to Brooks looking for something with cushion but not too squishy and these are perfect. I got the orange glow ones and theyre so bright and cheery. Wore them on a 3.5 mile brisk walk today and love the cushion and heel stability. A win!

I have tried the Ghost, Glycerin, and the Ghost Max trying to find something that works with my apparently unusual foot profile. I require a 2X wide shoe in the toe box area due to bunions, and have very high arches, which is a difficult combination when searching for a good fit. I am SUPER THANKFUL that Brooks produces a size that works, and I have found the Ghost Max's added cushion to be incredibly comfortable. For comfort, I would give this shoe 5 out of 5 stars with no question! However, the upper of the Ghost is made of two layers of mesh. Although my toenails get pedicures every two weeks and are not extraordinarily long or jagged, the toenails on my big toes wore through the mesh in less than 60 days (walking 3 miles a day). After trying other shoes and finding that the Ghost was above and beyond more comfortable than anything else, my local Fleet Feet store recommended I try the Ghost Max, as the fabric mesh in the toe area seemed to be made of a more durable fabric. Well, although it is, I'm starting to see a hole develop in the same spot, and I'm at about 100 days of ownership, walking about 5 days a week. The sole is not showing wear yet, only this particular toe area of the uppers. For durability alone, I would have to rate this shoe about a 3 of 5. For the price point of this shoe, and to only be using them for my daily walk, the upper should be able to keep up with the wear of the sole. Secondly, and from a more personal standpoint, I am so disappointed that the 2X wide is only available in all black or this oatmeal color. :( I understand not manufacturing a less popular size in all of the available colors, but a special edition every once in awhile would be really nice! I am not a fan of either of these two choices and feel so sad when I see what is available in the other sizes!

really like them except wish I had gotten wide because by the end of my day my toes hurt & are numb!! ( I work in surgery so I am on my feet all day).

Love the Max2. Extra cushion so nice for my feet. Wish you did your wide sizes in the fun colors

This is the shoe Ive been waiting for! The low heel offset = no aggravation of arthritis in knees. The shoes also feel sturdier than Hokas, while equally comfortable.

Liked the look of the shoe, but felt the shoe was built too high and I was not comfortable walking,

not as cushioned as the Glycerin Max, but more support in the sides and ankle areas
