I’ve always loved Brooks, and needed a new pair, but my daughter loves her Hokas so I got both to compare. They were even on comfort. The Hokas had a wider base and felt more stable. These were my first Brooks Ghost sneakers and they took me a minute to get used to because they were much more of a narrow base than my previous pair and the Hokas I had just tried on. It is almost like a rocking motion. Since my main activity is just walking, I liked the movement once I got familiar with it. I also liked the way they looked on me better than the Hokas, the more narrow shoe seemed more stylish to me. But again, I just wear them for every day life and walking. I am keeping my Brooks!

Loved the look and feel of this sneaker. The toe bed was too narrow. I cannot be the only person with wide feet. I have my own arch supports.

I have worn Brooks for quite a while now and mostly like the Ghost. I haven't tried the Ghost Max before so thought I would give it a try. They are super comfortable and a great walking shoe. They have a bit of a "rocker" style sole which feels different than regular Brooks Ghost. Only took a few minutes to get used to that difference. I have been walking in them every day for about a month and they are still very comfortable. I would say they are true to size and width. I ordered the same size I typically order in a Brooks shoe.

I wish I knew about these sooner. I have two knee replacements, a hip issue, and chronic plantar fasciitis and have spent the last year looking for the shoe that will address all these issues. I went to a sports store and a young fellow listened to me and recommended these. I put them on and started walking and thought I died and went to heaven. I left the store with that pair and came home and immediately ordered another pair from Zappos. These are by far the best Brooks I've purchased. You can't go wrong.

First let me tell you I went to a reputable shoe store to get my correct size. I usually wear a 9 in most sneakers however I needed a 10 for a good and comfortable fit in the Brooks brand. Due to recently suffering with plantar fasciitus, my foot doctor recommended this brand of sneakers. I like a more subdued shoe and not alot of advertising and bling...these checked all the boxes. Comfortable from the very first day. It also helps with discomfort I had previously experienced. I am very happy with my purchase and comfort level.

TTS, not a ton od support so not for high arches unless you plan to use external inserts.

Well, I'm no runner. Just an old lady with feet that have been broken, had bunions, and one foot fused. Forgot to mention I have Hobbit feet that are very wide. The 2E is amazing! You've done everything right with this shoe design. By some miracle, they have given me a perfectly normal gait again! There is plenty of toe width and depth for the metal insert, as well as the metal plate in my foot. For all you yunguns out there, this is what happens after a lifetime of wearing poorly designed shoes that are not shaped like feet, and squeeze your feetn forcing the big toe to be pulled inward. Brooks gets it. Ghost Max 2 is designed for foot comfort, and style. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to get out and enjoy nature again. The only drawback is the 2E usually only comes in black...truly "old lady" looking. Luckily, I had a little Testors enamel model car paint. Look at them now! They are transformed to look a little more stylish, less "old lady." Will be looking for these in a variety of colors! Thanks so much!

Love these shoes! Have mostly worn Hokas in the past since my last Brooks were very heavy and clonky. Do not irritate my bunion. No break in time needed. Very happy.

Back pain sufferer. Bought several different brands to try. These are not my favorite when it comes to style - boxy looking. However, after wearing them for 5 minutes my low back pain disappeared. These look like they would be heavy and clunky on the feet but they are light and offer great support. Never thought I would spend over $100 on sneakers but these are with every dime.

It felt 1/2 size shorter, and 30% narrower around the toe joint area. For bunion feet, prob better with extra wide and 1/2 size up.
I'd also recommend:
The Ghost 16 wide is much more comfortable & wide enough.

I have a narrow foot and use PowerStep inserts. My heel slipped while walking in these shoes so I needed to return them.

I ordered the bright white/bright white because they looked like a light blue and I questioned the color considering the name, but they are in fact white. A little disappointed in that because I was hoping they would be the baby blue color they appear on the website. Otherwise I like them. This is my second pair.

Felt like a Hoka - and I wasn't looking for that. Very comfortable, but prefer a little less.

The shoe is wonderful to walk 6 to 7 miles in. It gives me extreme cushion, supports my high arch and looks good.

I order a 10 wide in women’s. I started with the Ghost Max. Now Brooks has updated to Ghost Max 2. I love these sneakers. Walk my dog twice a day about 1 mile each time. I also work out at the gym with these. I have neuropathy in my left foot and plantar fasciitis in both feet. I am a teacher and stand on my feet all day. I will continue to buy these sneakers.

Good fit and the EE width is very wide, which is unusual in women's shoes. It's annoying that the EE width only comes in black. In other widths, there are 12 other colors. It's a popular shoe, so surely they could give us more than one choice.

It is nice to have a few shoes that have maximum cushioning and are extra wide but it would be nice to have them in at least a few more color combinations. They appear to sell out so why not offer more alternatives? I have multiple pairs of the predecessor of this shoe and they are very comfortable but require swapping out the lightweight insole with a harder, more rigid insole, reinforcement underneath the mesh upper and longer laces. Those add about $50 to the cost of these shoes. They are expensive and last, in rotation with multiple similar pairs, about a year. They do keep my feet and joints in good shape over 50 miles or more a week.

I got these in an extra wide for my mom after trying all the other brands (Hoka, New Balance, etc.) and they are a class above all. The cushioning is amazing cant feel the concrete or asphalt ground/surface pressure when walking and is the only shoe that accommodates her bunions and bone spurs and is still roomy in the toe box to be able to walk in comfort and with joy! Thank You Brooks, after a year of searching my Moms feet are finally happy!

Great for plantar fasciitis but the material is not up to par. Here is a pic of the ghost max winter green color vs the ghost max 2 black. Purchased on same date I alternate wearing them. Black have holes in the heel. For $150. This is not acceptable had several of ghost max black and never had holes before.

Brooks have been my go to walking/running shoe for more than 15 years and after trying different styles over this time, Ghost are the best fit. I ordered a wide this time to give my toes more room to breath plus I also wear Bombas socks and they are a thicker sock. I prefer a true lace up shoe so I can easily adjust the tension. The additional support in the footbed has improved and with many foot issues, this is an ideal shoe for me.

This is my 2nd pair of Brooks Ghost Max 2 sneakers. I had a stress fracture on my left foot last summer and foot doctor recommended this sneaker after wearing a walking boot for 4-1/2 weeks. Most comfortable shoe ever!!!

I had to go up one entire size to have it fit. My previous pair from 3 years ago was true to size, but obviously it isn't that way now. Otherwise, the shoes are great! Perfect support for me and look good too.

I have tried about a million shoes looking for one that took away my leg/knee pain. I work on my feet all day in the medical field. I tried other popular brands like Hoka and they just unfortunately didn't work for me. These shoes instantly felt like a match made in heaven. After one day of wearing them at work I could feel the difference. It has taken away my knee and feet pain as well as improved my back pain. I also do workout/walk and it's amazing for that as well. 100 recommend! I even bought a pair for my mom who works on her feet all day and she loved them too! She said it helped with her plantar fasciitis!
