I wanted these shoes to work out so badly! I have four other pairs of Hokas, Clifton model, and I was hoping these would be perfect too but they're just too roomy in the toe box for my skinny high arched foot. They are gorgeous and well built and I'm sure a lot of people will love them.

I've had 4 pairs of Hoka Clifton's, all the same size, so that's what I ordered for these Freedoms. They are beautiful! However, I just walked around the house in them for a few minutes and even with my skinniest socks they are just too short in the toe. I'll have to return and hopefully a half size up will work.

Loved the color and style. Fit was very narrow and tight. I don't normally need a wide size but these definitely would have to. Had to return unfortunately

I love my anacapas but they are a light mauve, almost tan, NOT the color advertised. Since I'm going to be hiking in them and getting them dirty I don't really care but just a heads up for anyone else expecting the color posted. Don't believe it.

I thought the hiking kind would be perfect but they were stiff, i got 2 blisters. Traded for a different kind. The slip on was so binding, no way to loosen it up.

I purchased two pairs of this shoe because initially I thought they fit great. The first pair, which I will still keep, started causing some pain on the outside of my little toe after a week of wear. Aside from that I liked it, but I decided to return the unused backup pair. Somehow the return label process doesn't work (I just did another return for my husbands sneakers no problem this week) and I cannot print the label. After going in twice to try and generate it again their site has now blocked me. So don't plan on a smooth return process if your shoes don't fit. :/

While the step in function is great, the stitched down tongue is NOT. The ridge that the stitching forms hits over the instep and causes pressure pain within an hour of putting them on, walking or not. I loved the high heel support but just can't wear these! Not comfortable .

I wear the shoe for walking on all types of surfaces. They are not comfortable at all . I would not buy again. I have other hokas and they fit fine. These are tight across top of foot and tongue of shoe is fixed so just loosening laces does not work shoe feels bulky when walking

I purchased these based on a good experience with a pair of Hoka's before. Although the fit is correct, they do not feel right. I have wide feet, and when I cinch down the laces, they get bunched up on the sides. The cushioning in the heel has a hard spot on each side that is not going away a month after use, and I am now seeing some fray on the fabric behind the toe cap. I like the aggressive tread, but for the price, these are duds for me.

Too hard to get them on with my high arches. The laces don't loosen the shoe! Ugly design.

When it was time to get new hiking shoes, I naturally gravitated toward Hoka because I had had such great experiences with their Anacapa 1and Speedgoat CTX. Even though I ordered the same size as my previous shoes, I found the new Anacapa 2 Freedom to be too short and tight. The shoe was very rigid, I my foot did not easily slide into the shoe. Overall, the shoe became uncomfortable after about an hour of wearing.

I have two other pair of Hokas that fit perfect. These are too narrow. They pinch the side of my feet so I can't wear them for long periods of time without being uncomfortable.

Having recently tried several new different styles of Hokas (after wearing several styles for a few years) I haven't been able to find a good fit. Some of the toe boxes are too narrow on te third and fourth toes, and too low. So disappointing. Others slip badly in the heel.

I was completely in love with these shoes, until I put them on and went out for a brief walk / hike. Absolutely killed my feet and ended up with blisters on my heels. I returned them literally the day after. It's a shame because I was completely in love with them at first glance. Definitely size up, and if you have a wider foot, steer clear.

These shoes are the worst. Blisters galore, pain in places I didn't even think I could get pain, and just ridiculously made. I have three pairs of Hokas and I have never had this problem. I don't know what's up with them, but they should either improve them or figure something else out. I really wanted some good Hoka hiking shoes and not to have to wear the sneakers on hikes, but it is not to be. No thanks!

It ordered 1/2 size larger and could hardly put them on and they were not comfortable. Returned them. I have a pair of Bondis and Clifton's and love them. This style definitely didn't work for me.

I really like Hoka shoes, I own several pairs, my husband ordered this shoe along with another pair for walking which those were great for Mother's Day, but these hiking shoes hurt my feet so bad I got blisters, they feel like your walking barefoot, wish I could exchange for a different one but I used them once already, and won't be using again cause of the bad quality what waste of money I don't already have :(

I bought these shoes specifically for hiking since that's what they are for. I am not sure if I had to break the shoes in before but I wore them on my usual Saturday hike. The hike is about 3 hours round trip and by hour 2, my feet were in so much pain. The next day, I had blisters on my feet. These shoes were extremely uncomfortable. I am scared to give them another try. I am going to just use my Nikes.

I wear a size 9 regular. I have had other pairs of Hoka shoes, and was surprised at how small the size 9 was. I couldn't wear them for more than 5 minutes, they were so small.
