I got these for when I''m standing and painting on a concrete floor at my studio. My back and feet were always sore at the end of the day so I looked into an alternative to what I was wearing. I have two pairs of HOKA tennies and figured, hey, their boots must be comfy too. I wore them last night there for the first time and my feet were warm and my back and feet didn't hurt at the end of the day! Highly recommend. They do run a tad smaller as the toe box isn't as big as on the tennies so I ordered a half size up.

I live in Jackson, WY and our winters are either full of deep snow or freezing temps both of which make walking for health complicated. These shoes totally take the danger and struggle out of walking in cold, snowy, icy conditions. They are warm enough, way more comfortable than winter boots, sturdy and have good traction.

Tossed North Face zip up boots for these warm, form fitting boots for after skiing. Easy to slip into while allowing stretch band around the ankle to keep snow out. Shocked to find the color did not absorb mud and other elements. The white bottoms stayed white. I love the powder blue color but was skeptical they would be ruined my first trip off the mountain. Super warm and oh so comfortable. I wear 7.5 woman's so ordered an 8 but could have been satisfied with 7.5. I bought the 8 to accommodate for ski socks but wonder if I really needed to size up 1/2. Definitely would purchase again.

Really cool shoes although it takes a moment to get used to the bulky look, they're very padded and puffy - definitely different - almost Apre -ski style like. I got the Oat Milk color which I love and it looks like the picture online. I usually wear 6 Medium in HOKA but I had to size up to 6.5 and they fit perfect with socks.

They're not at all water proof. I wore these out in the cold and I would've done better with any of my other Hoka shoes.
I purchased 8.5, just like all of my other Hoka's. They feel a bit loose to me. Overall, not as comfortable as my other Hoka's and not good for cold weather or where they could get wet.

Bought these to be an "inbetween" shoe when you don't need a heavy boot, but there is ice, slush on the trail/road. First pair two small and I had to return on the second pair, they were a little tight to get my foot in at first, but the straps in front and back help with pulling them on. Once on, my foot is toasty warm and dry. good soles, but sometimes I wear "yaks" for the Montana ice...will buy again for certain! I have worn all winter season and they are holding up very nicely!

I got the black color when mine was the only size available. So it's not an attractive shoe, and could make your foot look big, but I wanted a warm practical walk about some for winter in NY. Either all the negative reviews , I was concerned and when they arrived they did feel snug. I wore around house, and they felt better, but I knew I'd be wearing thick socks, maybe two pair to keep warm. I stuck cold soda cans up in foot to help stretch them. Well it was frigid cold snd snowed and these have served me well for walking about. I made them work for me.

I went up 1/2 size. My feet stay warm and comfy when I'm walking or hiking out in the cold.

I want to love these, but I just can't. Even in a size much larger than I have ever worn, I felt like my toe is right at the end. When I compared the length of these (sole to sole) against my Hoka hiking boots, they were the same, despite my Hoka hiking boots being 1/2 size smaller. There's a stiff rubber toe guard that seems to add to the feeling of the boots being stiff and too small. Returning these and ordering the Kaha insulated hiking boots from REI.

Exactly what I've been looking for. An insulated, waterproof, well cushioned and comfortable SHOE ( not a snow boot). I DID add some faux fur insoles for added warmth on the soles of my feet.

I exchanged the original shoe for my usual size HOKA. Fits so much better and no longer looks too large. Yes, my toes may touch the front (so far ok). The toe bed is narrower than the Bondi I wear and the shoe length seems a little shorter but overall they feel like a much better fit. And comfortable!
My takeaway is that we all have different size feet. Mine are small, narrow/thin. Therefore, there is plenty of room in the shoe. However I can see where a wider foot and/or a longer foot may need to upsize. There was no way to know this based on reviews. So I went with the consensus.

Believe all the reviews that say these run incredibly small - they really, truly do! I wear an 8.5 but always, always size up to a 9 for athletic shoes and boots. I ordered these in a 9 and a 9.5 (because I listened to the other reviewers). The size 9s were TINY! my toes were hitting the front of the boots. Even the 9.5 is iffy but I will probably keep them because I desperately need a warm pair of boots. Also, you may try to convince yourself that these really aren't hideous - good luck with that. They look like lumpy slippers. But the good news is, they appear to be quite warm.

These are so cute but very hard to get on. I could not even get one of them on my foot. They need some kind of zipper or something. I had to return them.

I had to send the shoes back because it was too difficult to get my foot into them. They need a longer zipper on the front so you can get your foot in easier.
They were well made like all the Hoka's. I have been buying HOKA's for 5 years and have always been happy with them. This pair was disappointing.

Before purchasing, I read the reviews and noticed quite a few that mentioned the "odd" fit and in particular, how the heel area was too large. I took my chances because they just looked so comfortable. I mean, how can something made by HOKA not be comfortable, right? I don't know who designed these boots but it certainly was not the same team that designs their running shoe as these boots are not designed for a normal foot nor do they have cushion. They are hard and quite uncomfortable. The only "good" part is the sole of the boot as it grips a slippery surface quite well.

These looked so snuggly and supportive I ordered them immediately. I would not have bought them if I had tried them on in person. They are stiff, they are not snuggly and they are too close fitting to fix with insoles. I was shocked there is no bounce and no squish at all. They aren't even especially warm. This is my first hoka purchase and it leaves me wondering where all the hype came from. I should have sent them back, but the lesson is learned.

Because of so many comments saying they run small, I got my regular size, 7.5 and an 8. For sure the 7.5 was too small. The eight was too big on one foot and the other foot didn't work either as the shoe rubbed on the top of my foot in a painful way, I was so disappointed as I love the look of the shoe and was looking for something I could walk in when the weather becomes very cold. I would only recommend them for someone who can find them in a store nearby so they can try them on. If they fit, then great.

I wanted to love these shoes, the seem like they would be warm but the way they designed the shoes makes them very tight especially around the toe area, so I had to return them.

I ordered these with much excitement as I've been looking for insulated, waterproof, comfortable winter sneakers/shoes for years and years. I thought my favorite brand Hoka was here for the win! I ordered as per the reviews and had to send the first pair back for all the same reasons - narrow toe box, too tight, too small. Exchanged for larger pair and off I went on a hike. Bad idea ... these shoes are stiff, don't break in well, fit very strangely and gave me terrible blisters on my heels because of the stiffness.
These are a disaster ... HOKA, go back to the drawing board because there is a need for shoes like these but the Kaha Frost Mac is definitely not it.

Odd fit and runs very small. I wanted something comfortable for winter walks and shoveling snow. These won't work.
