Customer Reviews New Balance Minimus Trail

First, I should mention that I read too many reviews, and a few claimed that the shoe is narrow; therefore, I order a "wide" version. Although I am enjoying the Minimus, I do not think I needed the wider version. That out of the way--the Minimus is light, fun, and provides reasonable underfoot protection. The traction is good. They wrap around the feet like slippers. Breathability could be better for summer running, but they are perfectly suited for fall and the winter weather we are currently in. Most important, they allow a quick turnover and greater trail feel, very different than a higher stacked shoe. I'd argue that they are also more stable for more technical trails; however, your feet will remember most of the roots and rocks. Overall, a decent replacement for my beloved Skechers TRL, and a little more forgiving than Merrell's Skyfire 2, which are great, but I would generally prefer the comfort of the Minimus.

Love the Minimus shoes. They are light weight, feel natural. Great for the gym as well as outside activitys. Style and colors make you look and feel wonderful.

Super light shoe. Almost feels like wearing nothing ans far a weight. Only issue is this is not what I would call Minimus. Ive been running in Minimus since the original version and these have WAY too much foam on the soles. When I think Minimus I think almost barefoot these are not that.

These shoes are "do anything" shoes! Great fit and feel.

Has become my favorite trail running shoe. Very light yet also durable.
