Customer Reviews New Balance Minimus TR V2

I wear a 9 in EVERYTHING. I purchased a 9 and they were too small. Exchanged for 9.5 and still too small. I would recommend going up a Full Size in this shoe.

I wear a 7 in most shoes but a 7 1/2 in New Balance. In this particular New Balance shoe even the 7 1/2 was too small. They would be great for weight lifting - gave me a great deal of firm contact with the floor.

I’ve worn New Balance Minimus shoes since they first introduced them. I prefer the original version. I have a long narrow foot. I usually wear 11N in a regular shoe, but I find I need a size 12 in the Minimus. They don’t come in a narrow width, so I have to use the laces and heaver socks to make them fit. The original minimus shoe was more narrow than this version.

The wides are not wide. Too narrow.

great gym shoes, for when being able to feel the floor matters. Much better for lifting weights than my running shoes.

Something was just off about this shoe. I have three previous versions of the Minimus line, all in the same size. And while this shoe wasn't technically too small, it FELT too small. It felt like my toes were constantly shoved up against the edges of the toe box, so maybe the toe box is just too narrow? I really, really wanted to like these - they look exactly like the very old pair of New Balance trail running shoes I wanted them to replace, but I just could not convince myself they were comfortable. The Minimus line does have very little support, which is fine with me, but again there was just something about the way my toes felt jammed into the toe box that didn't work for me. I have very small, narrow feet so this was honestly a first for me, even with New Balance.

Order 1/2 size up in these. I have a narrow foot and they fit perfectly. Really comfortable and feel lightweight

I've worn New Balance for years. In recent times, something has changed with their design and shape of their shoes. I've always fit exactly right into a 9Wide. This pair feel narrow in the toe box, yet the heel doesn't grip well (because of the Wide fit.) Plus this model has little support. I tried it because I like low offset (heel drop.) (This one is 4mm.) But the fit and support is immediately a no. So it's a return.

I read the other reviews and ordered the wide - STILL way too narrow.

Very narrow in the toes, not a lot of support in the sole of the shoe.

I ordered my usual size, 7 wide. The wide in this case was absolutely not wide enough and felt like a regular medium width shoe. There's no way I can wear these to a workout. New Balance has let me down after all this time buying their shoes.
