something has changed with the design of this shoe model-I have been wearing for years and wanted a new pair- the medial arch support (by the heel) is too much and very uncomfortable for me. I am disappointed as I like this particular model for the cushion.

Asics is the best fitting and comfortable pair of sneakers on the market. This particular pair is exactly what I wanted. With a splash of pink and white, it goes with many of my outfits. I am extremely happy with this purchase and recommend them highly.
I'd also recommend:
Asics is my preferred brand, but I have purchased New Balance and find them comfortable.

I ordered this shoe (ASICS GT-100013) for walking. I like the look of the shoe and it seems to be well made and fits true to size. The reason for returning it is that there is a part that runs around the opening of the shoe. It is quite rounded and padded and is right under the ankle bone. I am used to New Balance which has much lower profile padding. I can tell this will rub and cause problems for me so am returning it now.

Very comfortable in toe box as well as heel. Heel does not slip. Bunion on one foot happy and both shoes are of course adjustable with the laces. Laces do not slip so no need to double knot. Wore to a museum and forgot they were on. Nice and light yet good foundation and secure stepping with these sweet shoes.

Love the shoes, but they are a little narrow, which I was surprised since they are wide width. My other Asics weren't wide width and they feel the same. I'm sure they will be fine. The arch support is great and I have no pain wearing them all day, just a little tight across the top of the foot.

I just love this brand. I have learned over the years to order a 1/2 size bigger...I wear an 81/2 in all other shoes, but 9 in Asics. I also prefer the models with mesh instead of the all leather because of the ventilation, but that's just me.

I had trouble getting my foot in the shoe the way it came and has to really loosen up the laces! It took a bit of work to get the laces loose enough so wish I could have put them in myself to start. :)

I wear a 6.5 wide. I had been wearing Saucony Omni but they were pinching my toes. The asics toe box was just a little bit wider.

I have worn GT 2000 for years, but can’t seem to get them in wide size lately. I decided to try these, and they work fine. They are comfortable and supportive with my super feet insoles. I walk 3 1/2 miles a day without a problem.

Disappointed because I love the GT-1000 and GT-2000. I noticed that the last generation of GT's laces also came undone sometimes but it was worth it to just do lace lock. However these feel huge and blocky (for lack of a better word) - too much structure, too heavy, too wide. And it's annoying that brand new shoes come unknotted after less than 2 miles. Too bad because that champagne color is awesome. They're beautiful and stylish, but not at all functional. I'm going back to Altra.
