Asics gel contend 9 is great fit for my size 11.5 wide lady feet. The material has enough give and the toe box is deep enough for comfort on my bunion and hammertoe.

Cute shoes, but my flat feet stayed just that, flat, they weren't comfortable, they hurt in the usual places. I don't think they had any arch support, which my feet need, but I'm not positive, plus the right shoe rubbed on the side of my foot in just one spot. Otherwise, they very nice shoes.

Ordered a 7 wide, but the fit is close to a standard width. The mauve is a very nice color and they seem well-ventilated. Love the price!

These fit a lot better than the Gel 1000. I do put an insert in for extra support. Need the heel cup and arch support. Have liked Asics for many years now. Hard to find White sneakers and Black without all the colors these days. Still searching for these. Settled with the Gray for now, do like the fuchsia accent color.

Toes were at the very end of the shoes with lightweight/thin socks, while sitting. Can't imagine if I had stood up in them. Also, absolutely no arch support. I have high arches and these would have needed inserts... and there wouldn't have been room.

I like Asics in general, and I recently tried on these shoes in a store, and they were a smidge small, but they were not "Wide". So I ordered Wide size on Zappos, and they don't seem to fit any differently than the non-wide shoes! Ultimately, the toe box is too narrow to be considered a useful part of the shoe- my toes are not shaped into an arrow, for Petes sake. I got Topo Athletics instead, those allow my toes to actually splay in a normal fashion.

I wear size 7 in shoes and most of my sneakers are 7.5, however, I had to get an 8 in these, which wouldn't have been a size I'd ever try. The 7.5 fit, but wasn't as comfortable as 8 for some reason. I previously bought the Asics excite, which I think is a more beautiful design, but ended up returning as they were squishing my toes. The contend has more room for the toes (I bought regular width). They seem comfortable so far, but I've only walked in them, have not exercised. I have high arches and the support seems fine for me. The dessert rose color is very pretty.

Extremely comfortable shoe. A little clunky - but great for lots of walking.

I ordered 1/2 size up and wide. The shoes fit and are comfortable. I wear them as a casual walker, not as a runner.. Previously paid $140 for Mizzuno running shoes.. these are just as comfortable for casual wear.

I purchased these Gel Asics Contends 9 for my mother and she said they feel very comfortable . The style and color is perfect . The toe box is very roomy . Much more then the 9 Mediums I had purchased as well because of the way the sizing is today .

Solid feel, comfortable shoe. Good width and helpful with historic issues with plantar fasciitis.

I was very skeptical at before ordering the Ladies Asics Gel Contend 9 based on other comments. I took a chance and ordered a 9 1/2 wide . My normal shoe size is an 8 1/2 medium. I know the times have changed with sizing and I figured I would just give it a try . I love the color WaterRose/Desert Red. I am a little disappointed that the back of the sneaker does not have the Asics logo , What counts is they are comfortable and I hope they do not wear out quickly . I just wish Asics would carry more colors in the Gel Contends 9 ‘s.
