I purchased these for my husband for a Christmas gift when I noticed the soles of his older Asics were wearing thing after 4 years. The tan color with the black accents was my favorite as they can be worn with slacks and jeans for a casual look without appearing overly bright/gaudy or athletic. He reports the shoes are comfortable and they are true to size. He was very happy with the selection and would purchase them again.

I have run in the previous versions of the GT-1000 for a few years, and this new model #13 is a solid improvement in cushioning, stability, and comfort. I am satisfied with the updates in the 13.

Its not according to expectation,Quality is not good enough.Im so disappointed and its not deserved this high price.

Very comfortable and stylish. I wanted to try them because a marathon runner I know swears by ASICS.

Good shoes, comfortable and great fit. The insole is very good and soft.

Like an old pair of GT-1000s I bought in 2005 these fit great and feel good

Comfortable, stable walking platform. I walk an hour a day on pavement and, even with an after market orthotic inserted, these shoes could use a bit more cushioning. My heals are bit sore/tired at the end of my walk. My prior pair of Asics GT-2000 9 were more cushiony and left my heals feeling more comfortable at the end of my walks.

Pretty comfortable for short walks but not suitable for all day walking. Also, very slippery in the rain.

The shoe feels cheap now. The quality has really gone done. What used to be a comfortable running shoe is now hard, stiff, and looks like they just extruded plastic and put stickers on it. Whats worse is that the quality is has gone down, but the price hasnt. Would not recommend.

Gel Nimbus doesn't hold up to its quality! Less than six months and the shoes heel cushion breaks down. This happened with Gel NUmbus 23, 24.. I would not recommend this shoe.

I need support and stability in a 4E width and tried this shoe. Previously wore Adrenalines but the colors available in that are down to all black or all white really bad choices IMHO. The GT 1000s seemed stiff and lacking in support. Sent them back and ordered from another brand. Bring back the colors in Adrenaline 2000 in 4E please!!!

Good comfort, good look, excellent for walking or wearing out for the day.

Received the shoes on time and as advertised. Its a great looking and fitting shoe. Sometimes when I purchase new shoes, I also purchase insoles to get the cushion I need. These shoes felt comfortable out of the box, I definitely recommend.

The tread wore out on these shoes after about 80 m

I've always had good luck with ASIC shoes. Build quality, comfort, sizing, roominess have all been very good with ASICs. Some brands there are problems with sizing a bit too small, or cramped toe space. I do not have these problems with ASICs. The GT-1000 13 i very comfortable and supportive. Also I appreciate the ASIC styles now to. Becoming much more colorful.

I've been wearing "Dad" shoes for the last 25 years and recently, decided to make a change. I was wearing shoes like Nike Air Monarch IV's, New Balance 608's, etc. Standard Issue "Dad" shoes. So, I went to Academy and tried on a pair of ASIC GT-1000 13 Extra Wide shoes and fell in love with them. The only problem was that Academy had a very small selection of colors in Extra Wide shoes, so I ordered a pair online. After wearing them for one day, I was hooked. My first impression of the GT-1000 13 Extra Wide is as follows. First, when I took them out of the box, I noticed that they were perfect. I mean perfect. I didn't see any loose for frayed threads on the shoe or any areas where the stitching was anything other than perfect. Also, the shoe lace length was perfect. No more stepping on a long shoe lace and your shoe coming untied. I also loved the way they breathed. I live in Texas and 100 degree heat is the norm during the summer. My feet don't get hot in these shoes. I can wear these shoes all day and my feet don't get hot and sweaty. But the most important feature of this shoe to me was the comfort. It's like walking on a pillow of air. I can walk long distances in these shoes and not get tired like I did wearing "Dad" shoes. Also, the toe box in perfect. Wide, but not too wide. To me, these are the perfect shoe and I would encourage anyone to try and buy a pair. You won't be disappointed. I also bought the ASIC Quick Lite Plus socks. They are ultra thin, breath well and really compliment these shoes. To summarize, after I bought and tried this shoe, I then ordered 3 more pairs of shoes from the ASICS website. I'm hooked.

A nice everyday walker, not too over padded. Comfortable and easy to wear.

Difficult to get the right sizing. Used the sizing from an old pair of ASICS and more room in the toe of the new pair of ASICS.

Very comfortable. Way more comfortable than my adidas.

Not wide. Theyre good shoes but I wish they come in wider options.

I have 2 pairs of GT-2000 v12 which are fantastic...but I needed more breathability walking 15 miles a week in 80-90 degree temperature. I'm 285, 5'10" wear a 9.5 4E and mild pronation to neutral. I've been walking the GT-1000 v13 for a week or so (ordered right after they became available) and they are spot on, I consider it a summer version of the GT-2000...and for walking only, I think I prefer the GT-1000. GT-1000 are highly breathable, just right amount of support, stable and good cushioning. I find them perfect for walking pavement in hot weather and required zero break-in. At my size, if I was running, I'd probably want the added support the materials (and that glorious heel) of the GT-2000 bring but I could see lighter runners having option to run in either depending on weather. Kudos to the ASICS product team, I've always struggled to find a good fit with right amount of support and between your GT models, I'm dialed in for the first time in 15-20 years. THANK YOU.
