Very comfortable for running and doing everyday errands

The heel loop from this shoe rubbed my heel to the point of bleeding during its first use. 8 mile run at 7:30 mile pace. Paired this shoe with ASICS speed no show socks. Horrible result.

lousy shoes. make a lot of noise when walking on linoleum floors. In addition somehow lace got a knot in one side and was impossible to undo

Disappointed in this shoe as the heel cushioning is very different when compared to the Gel-Kayano 30. I would rather stock up on the 30s than use the 31s.

It may be because the shoe is new, and not completely broken in, but these Kayano 31s are uncomfortable. I have worn Kayanos since the 16th iteration and sometimes they are better, but sometimes theyre worse. The tow box on these is slightly smaller than on the 30s and that may be why theyre more uncomfortable. Additionally, the shoe is loud and squeaks. Im not really a fan of the new sock liner either. It seems as if as ASICS is just trying to keep up with the times, and by doing so came out with a worse shoe.

These are like walking on clouds - best foot support & fitting I have ever had. They are a must buy for any walkers out there.

too big, not staying true to size. my mens 8 feels 1/2 bigger than the previous models.

The Asics GEL-KAYANO 31 shoes are true to size and may feel slightly uncomfortable at first but become very comfortable once broken in. They are highly recommended for all-day wear, making them a great choice for work or extended walking periods.

I have been wearing the Kayano running shoes for over 20 years. This is the best update yet. Love the new sock liner addition. The 31 is the most comfortable Kayano I've ever worn. Well done Asics!

I have supported and recommended the ASICS GEL-KAYANO for years for runners like myself looking to purchase a neutral running shoe that has sufficient stability to withstand 3 months of training on road surfaces. I purchased 2 pairs of the ASICS GEL-KAYANO 31 online on June 1, 2024 - the day they were released in the US. I typically purchase 2 pairs of running shoes at the same time so that I can rotate them to reduce wear on them while Im training. Just like the previous model, the GEL-KAYANO 30, I was pleased with the alterations made to the midsole. The same could be said with the knit collar construction with the only difference being the added pull tab at the rear of the shoe. However after 3 weeks of running in the ASICS GEL-KAYANO 31, I am extremely disappointed with the unnecessary alterations that were made to the shoes outsole. The better gripping as advertised HYBRID ASICSGRIP is a major construction flaw. The sticky rubber sections at the heel of the shoe are highly abrasive and lead to heel slapping when contact is made on road surfaces resulting in the rear rubber sections on the underfoot to break down and eventually completely peel off on both pairs of shoes that were worn for less than 1 month. The ASICS GEL-KAYANO 31 (advertised as a neutral, stable running shoe for road surfaces) was obviously not tested before the premature release date on June 1, 2024. With the poorly constructed outsole, the midsole alterations made on the previous model no longer provide any sort of comfort, I experience foot pain after each run, and my time spent running has decreased considerably after purchasing these shoes. I would like to continue running in the Gel-Kayano in the future, but in the meantime ASICS needs to address this construction flaw. If I had the ability to do so I would provide pictures with this review in order to show potential consumers what to expect prior to purchasing this shoe.

Never own a pair of ASIC running shoes until now and these are by far the most comfortable pair of runners Ive own.. Ive had Nike, Altras and adidas they dont live up to what Ive enjoyed with my ASICS

I have been buying Gel Kayano for many years and this years doesn't fit right. I asked the company sales people and they were useless. Tried to contact ASICS by email multiple times and no response.

These shoes are really comfortable. They are very soft and airy, but I can tell that they are readjusting my walking gait. My heels are above my toes, so it was odd to get use to at first but I really like them and will being purchasing another pair soon.

Love the color and love the fit. Very snug but comfortable. Running with these gives you a little bounce. Hope it stays that way for a while.

Ive been wearing these all day everyday since I bought them. I was experiencing a tracking issue on my right side affecting my knee, hip and lower back. This shoe seems to have solved most of the problem. Shoe took about three days to get used to. Its fine for walking, but I dont recommend standing for long periods of time in it.

grip and balance are all great, very comfortable shoes. The only issues I have is the sizing of the shoe since I order it online the width was great just its run larger than I older 9 I have.

The seemingly small improvements over last year's model make a huge difference in overall comfort and experience.

I rarely leave reviews but this shoe is incredible. I have experimented with Brooks, Hokas, Nike, Adidas, New Balance, and more, all in 4E and to fit my weirdly shaped feet wide midfoot and forefoot. The Kayano's 31 felt like a breathe of fresh air. Took these for a 1hr 15min run and these felt amazing. No breaking in period needed. Love them so much I actually bought another pair for backup.
