The cushioning and comfort is terrific! Fit is great, and they readily handle 25-40 miles per week, even though I’m 200+ pounds.

This was the first time that I purchased ASCIS sneakers. And I tried them because I need an extra wide (4E) width. I have been using HOKAs but they haven’t had much stock recently. This was a great experience and the fit was perfect. They will be my new go-to sneakers!

These feel and perform great. Very happy with the purchase and this version. The elastic loops at the heel are a welcome improvement to previous versions. They make putting on the shoes much easier.

Love these shoes! Perfect fit out of the box. I have difficulty finding a shoe with the right width in the toe box. These are perfect. Just right. The cushioning, support, and stability are second to none. I used to run in ASICS (marathon, half marathon, 10K, 5M) and the brand was my go-to for years. I got away from ASICS and wore Hoka until their quality declined and then On Cloud until their quality declined. Seems those brands lost site of their reason for success and maybe chased sales and income instead. The only thing I will say about the Kayano 31 is the tread looks a bit anemic. Time will tell how they wear. I hope well.

I bought a pair of these a couple of weeks ago and I absolutely love them. Perfect amount of arch support. Perfect flex. Great motion control. Completely reversed my foot and leg pain. It feels so good to not hurt.

The shoes are my workday shoes and they are comfortable. That is why I continue to buy ASCIS shoes from Zappos.

Desperately needing new shoes I can wear on my extremely painful feet, these Asics Gel-Kayano 31s seemed like a shoe that could possibly meet my needs. Boy, was I wrong! I had already experienced the supreme comfort of the Gel-Nimbus 25, but they weren't quite stable enough to keep me from wobbling around in them. The Kayano 31 definitely doesn't have that problem, as they are one of the most stable shoes I've ever worn. Unfortunately, they are stiff, hard shoes that have firm cushioning instead of the super-soft stuff that I need. They do run true to size lengthwise so I bought the same size as my Nimbus. They also have a spacious forefoot area so I can easily move my toes, but they are hard to get on even with the new heel loops. Once on, they constrict the back half of my feet like a vice, which some runners might prefer, as the tight heel lock ensures your feet won't be slipping around inside the shoe. I even have thin ankles, so if you have thicker ankles these may not work for you unless you try a wide width. The Kayano 31 does have a few pros, like the new upper mesh material that provides good ventilation and some nice stretch. Very good rubber on the sole should give good traction, and the overall build quality is high. I expect the durability to be great. But the lack of plush forefoot cushioning and the very tight fit quickly have my feet screaming in pain. Maybe I just got a bad pair. Maybe they just need breaking in. Possibly go up half a size?? In any case, these are just not comfortable shoes for me, and I won't be able to wear them at all. Three stars just because they have potential for others without my pain issues.

Aspics are the only running/walking shoes I've worn for the past 20 or so years. I wouldn't wear anything else and these didn't let me down. These could be the best ones yet.

I have been wearing GEL-Kayano for so many years I don’t remember the first series number I bought. These are always my go to for my daily 4 mile run. It has become my habit to buy extra pairs when they’re on sale! I use custom arch inserts, so I can’t comment on the arch of these. Just not enough for my feet.

These shoes were hard to get on my feet, but once they were on they were so comfortable, I didn't want to take them off. Great arch and heel support. My wife thought they looked really great on me, comfort...style...who could ask for more?

These are fantastic shoes. The Hoka Arahi 6 had been my go-to for a couple of years, but I couldn't make the new 7s work (felt narrower and less comfortable). The Kayano 31s are a worthy replacement and, in some ways, an upgrade. Great support and extremely comfortable, with added cushioning around the heel relative to the 30s. The toe box is just right—not too big, but roomy enough to prevent pinching. Highly recommended.

This shoe is very comfortable. It fits "true to size and true to width." It has a lot of spring in the step. They are lightweight. AAMOF, when the box arrived I thought it was empty.
