Overall, I'd say I like it. My only complaint is the straps. It has loose strap on each side and it's annoying. It dangles and there is no way of securing it nicely.

I like this bag! I bought it because it's light and roomy. I do with it had a key latch sewn into the inside, but overall, this is a nice bag.

Great every day carry bag. Practical and well constructed with lots of logically placed pockets, etc for managing laptop, cords, phone and documents. Lightweight and not too big, but roomy.

I was clear to myself as to what I wanted, and this messenger bag has been it. It's well made and should last a long time. Looks pretty good, too...

Great bag for accessorizes on a trip. I keep my travel documents safe and handy in the side pockets. Only has one handle on top, it needs two. One on each side. Other than that it's great.

I really wanted to like this bag, but I couldn't. The main interior pocket bulges, which make it difficult to put other items in the bag. If I force it, then I can put my books and binders in the bag, but it doesn't carry as much b/c of the space. Unfortunately, I had to return it.

Just purchased at their Freeport outlet (30% off), only to find afterwards, the item is cheaper on Zappo's (35% off).

I had such high hopes for this bag but upon receiving it, i knew it would not work. It is disproportionately wide and the bottle holder on one end ends up toppling the bag to that side. Various pockets and inside compartments are great but the width and placement of bottle holder is terrible. 2 handles would be ideal too. This was a return for me.

As others have said, this bag was poorly designed. The bottle holder on the side/end is useless and throws the balance of the bag ridiculously off. I also wish there was a smaller version as this was comically wide for my frame. I had to return it.

This so-called successor to the LL Bean Messenger Bag now sits abandoned on my shelf, a constant reminder of my letdown. After using it a few times, each experience was more disappointing than the last. The previous model was perfect in every waysize, pocket placement, zippers. This new version fails miserably on all fronts. I waited years for this replacement, only to be left utterly disappointed.
