Very cute boot, but too narrow for my feet. Would love for there to be wide options for this brand.

Absolutely gorgeous boots, but I’m shocked — they’re huge! I’m the impossible-to-find 10 1/2, but these boots were at least 11s, maybe a 12! I’ve got skinny ankles, but often find boot makers make their shafts so small even I can’t get them on. This Sorel is different — the shaft is proportional to the foot size. Though they’re too big, I just might keep them, because I’ll be able to wear my fattest winter socks, might even be able to put in my arch supports, and the beautiful grey suede matches half my winter wardrobe. Important: these boots are shipped with VERY hard, thick, and inconspicuous cardboard forms shoved deep into the toe box. It was so difficult to pull that cardboard out — I had to use pliers! I’m guessing some buyers maybe didn’t realize the cardboard was there, so understandably found the tie box tight and too narrow. To them, I encourage them to revisit the boot.

I bought these in my regular Sorel size, could barely get my foot in, very narrow and very small, couldn't wear with socks. Going up a full size and seeing if they fit because I do like them! Cute and seem good/standard sorel quality.

Kinda funky looking but I like the look enough. But way too hard to get on and off. They’re going back.

Easy and comfortable out of the box. Rubber outsole has nice grip and traction. Work or casual, nice boot.

I have average width feet, with narrower ankles. I went with my true size 6.5 and found the toe box to be tight, it definitely runs narrow while the ankle has extra moving room. I really like the Plum colorway and think the design of the boot is athletic/stylish, however I do think this boot makes my feet look larger/longer than they are. Outsole is grippy and the boot feels supportive. I wouldn't size up but rather try to stretch the width a bit more.

I gave the Ona a 4/5 because the sizing is off. It is a cute boot. I have tried it in other smaller sizes elsewhere than what I got through Zappos. I am a 9.5 in the Joan and the Joan was a little large. I used to wear a 9 in Sorel's snow boots and now I am a 9.5. I will try the Ona in a smaller size again. I really want this boot to work for me. The opening is a little tight and pulls on your socks putting your foot in. This should not happen. Love the soles that will release dirt easier than lug style and the correctly sized back loop for pulling the boot on.

Tried a 9 based on previous experience and current reviews on this boot. I am a solid 8.5 and these were way too big. Love the chunky design

The boots are terrible. Unless you are wearing a very thin, non-cotton sock, you cannot get your foot into the boot.

Easily the best boot I've invested in years! I live in the PNW and this is my daily go-to to stay dry above the puddles. I'm usually a 7 and I got the 7.5 so thick socks would work. I have to put insoles in when I want to wear thinner socks, but that works for me. Very waterproof, comfy, and fashion forward. If they had a style that was just a couple inches taller in the ankle I would surely swoon, but literally no complaints here.

I wear a 7.5 to a 7 in most shoes and my heel is a bit small but my toes are wide. I ordered a 7.5 because some people noted Sorel tends to run narrow. I am so happy with this boot. I rarely have the experience of a boot fitting my heel properly and not pinching my toes. They were very tight at first try on but once my foot was in completely they were about perfect. I can't wear my biggest fluffiest socks with them but that's fine and they are already adjusting to my foot. Love the style, love the fit. These are wonderful.

Oh my gosh, after a year, these Sorels have performed and looked sharp every step of the way. After traipsing my snowy New England winter trails, running errands, walking my dog, and fun winter evenings out, each of them countless times, I couldn’t be more impressed. On a lark, I dared to buy these in the LIGHT grey suede. I think I had to be rebelling, given my age and sensibilities. As if taunting all wisdom, I never treated them and went everywhere but in rain. They survived their first New England winter without so much as a mark. This year, their second ‘season,’ they’re my go-tos. I pair them with skinny wide-wale corduroys, Dale of Norway sweater dresses or jeans, a storm jacket, and thick contrasting tights or fleece-lined leggings. About the fit, regardless of your foot length, Sorel’s Chelsea boot cut only works if your foot’s slim or flexible enough to get past the stiff neck. Mine happens to be. Once in, the footbed is quite spacious for your toes to splay out for circulation and balance, even with thick socks on. It’s possible the neck’s stiff elastic ‘Blunnie’ gusset will loosen with use, but mine hasn’t. That said, the Sorel’s Chelsea boot affords such sure footing you’ll forget you have them on, and go forward in style!

Love these - wide enough for my feet that are usually in between wide and normal width, and feel STURDY- I got the black but would get other colors for year-round walking shoes. I can see these going across seasons, they are not dainty, but I feel they will last and go with everything. I plan to walk all over NYC in these- will keep you updated if anything changes since I just tried them on around the house- normal socks are fine that are both quarter-length and longer.

Needed to half-size up for length, but the overall width, then, felt way too roomy, even with a wintry sock. Had to return.

Love these boots!! They are so cute with leggings or jeans. Wore to work and they were comfortable, but I did wear with thick smart wool socks.

I wanted to love these but they rubbed my heel to the state of bleeding 2x- felt comfortable for a half mile or so, then even with socks it was unbearable. I have wide feet and the footbed was fine but the heel had no wiggle room.

These run large and wide but that seems ok with my thick wool socks. They are stylish and very functional plus pretty comfortable as well.

First ordered this boot in size 7, my normal size for boots. Noticed my heels slipping a little so I ordered a size 6.5 (which turned out to be too small). I'm keeping these in size 7 as they fit good with thick socks and heel inserts. My feet swells after being on it for a while so a 7 works. A zippered boot would be better but getting the boot on and off isn't too bad. Wore them yesterday for a walk around NYC and they were comfortable. Also was able to wear them after some snow that turned to ice and the traction is good. Overall, they are what I was looking for- a boot with good traction, I can dress up or down, and are waterproof.

Plum boot super cute and good in snow but a little snug, 1/2 size up would be a better fit

Great fit! I think these boots are so comfortable and I have been wearing them daily for the past week. They are completely waterproof as advertised and fit like a glove. I will say I wish the style was slightly more sleek/dressy but I also think that is hard to find with waterproof shoes. However, overall I am obsessed and glad I ordered even though I have wide feet as I didn't find that they are narrow at all. Just a heads up, the shoe insert almost blends in when you buy so make sure to take that out and they'll be perfect!
