I've been needing new cross-training shoes for a while. Once I bought these I realized how deficient my old shoes were! My stability is back and my form is better. Love this shoe!

Feel great for workouts. Would not recommend for intense cardio (i.e. running) but light cardio should be ok. Light and flexible.

I really like these shoes. When I first got them I ordered a UK size 8 as that is my usual size in adidas. Putting them on at first I thought they were a bit a bit snug but once laced up and walking around they felt fine. I only use them for strength training though. I normally run and have trainers for this and I do a couple strength training sessions a week. However I would say if they were going to be used for say a metcon type workout maybe a half size up would be recommended for anything that involved some running. I also don't think they would be great if the workout had longer running periods in it only because the sole is pretty solid and not a lot of flex. I don't use it for this hence the 5* review as they work great for strength work. Great support and feel solid and stable in the heel. There is also an indent in the sole that leads to an air vent so if it is raining outside and you wear them heading to the gym avoid puddles.

I've been using the Adidas Dropset 3 mainly for strength training (squats, deadlifts, leg press, and some light cross-training), and overall I'm very impressed. The biggest advantage is stability. The dual-density midsole keeps the heel firm while the forefoot has just enough flexibility, which makes heavy lifts feel very controlled and grounded. The heel-to-toe drop is low, so it feels close to a lifting shoe without being overly stiff. That said, this is not a running shoe. Short warm-up jogs are fine, but I wouldn't recommend it for longer runs. It's clearly designed with lifting and gym training in mind.

I've been using them to train in the gym in. I once forgot my running shoes and did cardio in these and I didn't feel any discomfort the whole time!
