Very elegant and comfortable sandals, well constructed, of quality leather. I generally wear size 8, medium width, and this size 8 fits me perfectly. Despite the reviews about the toe strap or middle strap being too tight, etc., I did not find that to be the case for my very average feet. I am 5’5”, 122 lbs, which may somehow also factor in to these shoes working well for me.

I've worn these sandals three times the first week and have received many compliments. They were comfortable right out of the box. Get your normal size. The bottoms are a little slick (like other Bernardo sandals) so be careful walking on concrete.

Normally, Bernardo brand sandals fit me really well. But, this one is made for people with short toes. If one has longer toes, like me, the placement of the section for the big toe is too close to the edge of the sandal so they wouldn't work.

Beautiful and comfortable. Straps are not loose on my medium wide feet and the sandal keeps close to my feet. Very glad I found them.

I love these Bernardo sandals. They are the perfect compliment with a number of green pieces I wear for summer. Size and comfort are perfect. Have told two people where to buy them because the kelly green shade is just right and difficult to find.

This is my third pair of this style. So cute and comfortable. Often get compliments on them.

Nice quality leather. Fit true to size. Adjustable buckle strap around ankle. I use the last hole so I’ll have to punch some more holes in strap as they stretch out. Toe loop is loose, wish it were tighter. The toe loop is also too close to the end of the shoe in front so if your toes are long they will hang off the front of shoe. Flat, minimal cushion, no arch support. The “sand” color is light tan beige, blends in with tanned skin. The “navy blue” is a true dark navy blue, both appealing. Comfort is ok not great but I decided to keep and try it.

It felt like a slid too far forward in the shoe. I have a narrow foot, hence the reason I ordered the thong style. My foot just slid through and therefore my toes would hang over the end. Loved the style and quality. Just not best for me.

I love these sandals. Great style, so cute, high quality. If you have a high arch they will fit tightly across your arch.

Great quality in construction. The fitment suffered because the upper straping projected the sole backward about 1/2". The crosstrap and particularly the toe ring was snug.

The dimensions on this sandal are off. My toes hung off the end while there was extra space behind my heel.

The problem with the Bernardo Maverick, was that the strapping was too restrictive to the foot. The toe loop was too snug, and instep strap was not relaxed enough to permit the foot to position properly to the ample sole. The restrictive strapping moved the foot forward leaving a rearward heel space of 1/2 inch. A sandal will not "walk" that way, but will feel like it is a thin board bowing with each forward step.

I LIVED in these sandals in high school back in the 70s and LOVED them. Now my feet slid in them something fierce and so I returned them. So sad!
