The jacket runs a size smaller than marked. It is also cut strangely through the shoulders and sleeves. This jacket might fit women better than men.

I wear a Large in everything LL Bean. Based on other reviews, I ordered this in X-Large. I am returning it for an XX-Large. Weird. Other than that, seems a great jacket. I wore Casco Bay jackets for years and this seems a good replacement. I like the price, the fact that the hood rolls into the collar and it's light, very packable and presumably windproof and water resistant.

Great windbreaker however not true to size. More tapered. Husband is true medium. This is only the second time returning a product due to size in at least 10 years.

I just bought this for my fall walks where I want to wear a layer or two and put this on as a windbreaker on those days by the beach where the wind is kicking up. When I received it, I was only wearing a T-shirt. I tried it on, and it was way too snug and constricting. I'm regularly an XXL guy. I'm not even sure if I went to XXXL that it would be large enough to accommodate a base layer and a long-sleeve shirt, so I might look at a different product.

Comfortable all over; soft fabric that seems to wrap well around your needs. Only 4 stars, because the LLBean logo is applied (blue on blue) and near the side of waste line rather than on the upper part of the garment. That suggests a shy feeling about your own logo.

I like the material, but the coat needs more secure pockets: zipper, velcro, etc.

I purchased this April 2024. After reading reviews, I ordered a XXL-Tall which is one size larger than my usual XL-Tall. The XXXL-Tall is still too tight. I have a windbreaker I purchased from LLBean a few years ago. It is an XL-Tall and fits me perfectly and allows for a bulky under garment. This older jacket has label information RN71341 and VN02322, is 100 % polyester and are from Vietnam. I question sizing standards used in the clothing industry. when and older XL-Tall is larger than a newer XXL-Tall. I will be paying for a return to exchange the XXL-Tall for a XXXL-Tall which I consider unfair after the efforts I took to obtain the correct size.

I searched all over to find a lightweight weight, rain resistant jacket with a roll-up collar to replace an old Eddie Baur jacket that was no longer made. This is close, but a little lighter in weight.

I should have paid attention to the earlier comments about the sizing. I ordered the regular large size and indeed it was too tight, which was what a lot of reviews said! I exchanged it for the reg. XL and that one is fine.

I purchased mine at an outlet but it was first quality it did not have the original ticket on it. I assumed because there was a hood this would be waterproof. It says it's for variable types of weather I don't know when you would need to cover your head if it's not raining? It's not even water resistant I was drenched. If you are under the impression that this is any kind of protection against the rain it isn't. If you just need this for the most minimal protection from the wind it fits nice and it's cut well. My problem is it looks great but it has no functionality, it's not windy enough for me to spend $70

I liked everything about this jacket except that it is made of nylon. The style, fit and color were all great. Unfortunately, there is no such thing as "light and airy" nylon. It is still nylon. It feels like plastic when you put it on, and it will be hot the minute sun hits it. So, while I loved the way this jacket looked on the hanger, I returned it.

Very light weight, excellent for breezy, cool days. Order a size larger than usual if you want to wear over a layer.

Definitely a light weight windbreaker which is what my husband wanted. However, it came pretty wrinkled, and after two washings, it's still wrinkled a bit. However, my husband really likes the weight. So, we're keeping it..

Nice light windbreaker with an excellent fit. The nylon material is a little flimsy. The jacket doesn't have much warmth. Love the sand dune color. Matches anything I wear. Will keep it.

This was a gift! I had to purchase a size larger than usual so it would fit! He complained about the lack of multiple pockets. He still prefers his old LL Bean windbreaker.

I wanted a lightweight windbreaker, and for the most part it works, except for two issues. One was sizing. I normally buy a large size jacket because I like them roomy in the shoulders to be able to fit a thin fleece top underneath. Unfortunately the large size I ordered fit more like a medium, and I had to return it for an extra large, something I've never had to do for any large jacket I've ordered anywhere. The extra size does fit me like a large should. The other issue is the material, a mix of nylon and recycled nylon, is not what I would call fabric- or fleece-friendly when putting on the jacket. Because the "nylon" material is not smooth like regular nylon, it tends to snag on any long sleeve cotton T-shirt or lightweight fleece top when I put my arm in the sleeve. Once I have my arm in the sleeve, I have to reach up to pull down whatever top I'm wearing. Just a bit of a nuisance.

Very light and easy to pack but it would be better if there were more pockets inside and some security such as zippers so that stuff doesn't fall out. Pockets should be deeper.

This jacket seems to run small and short in length and sleeves. It is also very light weight which would be good for backpacking but didn't meet my needs for something with a bit more heft.

It is fair to okay. It is light weight. I am glad I did not pay full price for it. It does not live up to L.L.Bean standards.

Ordered an XX large to accommodate me and a shirt & a vest as an all-around outer layer for travel. The sizing wasn't even close. Went up a size and it was a bit better, but still not accurate to my expectations. The jacket itself is functional, but perhaps not worth the dance it took to get there.

Typically I wear extra large in most everything I purchased from L.L. Bean however, this jacket is grossly undersized. I liked the style and the quality but the sizing is way off to what I have come to know as LL Bean standards. Very disappointing. If you like this jacket, I would suggest you buy a size larger.

First this jacket runs small, all my other jackets and coats are a large. I had to return and get a xl. Second the material is very thin you can practically see through the material. Also there are no extra pockets like for cell phone or interior pocket to place wallet, napkins etc. the cuffs are a thin elastic type usually found on cheaper jackets. I would give this jacket a fair price of maybe $29.95/ not the double price I paid. Only reason I gave 2 stars is I like the color.
