I bought these because I was told the article grip would give me improved winter traction especially on ice. They do not perform better than my regular shoes I wore last year. I would not recommend these to anyone. Very unhappy, I went to the point of purchase and they could not offer me any help. Very frustrating!!! I just wonder if they are defective, can't get help.

Purchased online based on description and image, my local store was out for the season. Love the look of the shoe, very well made as all Merrell shoes, good tread pattern, very easy to slip on. Wore them on carpet around the house for a bit to test fit and comfort. Anxious to wear them running errands in town on a cold winter day. The first couple of hours I was thrilled and loved them. Gradually they became extremely uncomfortable to the point of limping and having to cut my errands short to go home and get them off my feet. The toe box is narrower than I expected and the cushioning overall was lackluster. Reminded me of my days of wearing pointy toe high heels. I am disappointed as I've been wearing Merrells for many years and hoped this would be my new go-to shoes. Coldpac3 doesn't fit like a Moab. Overall the shoe would get a perfect rating but the discomfort for me means they will now sadly collect dust in the closet.

I bought these online, I wore them in the house for two hours. The next morning it was cold and a little icey so I wore these shoes. They were warm, I didn't slip but by the end of the day they felt like flip flops, they stretched. I am sad and disappointed, I want to love the shoe but I can't

I had unbelievable ankle bone pain (inner ankle area) from the rubbing the shoes do/did to my inner ankle. I couldn't figure out why I had this pain, and it didn't dawn on me that it was the shoes. The pain I got from the rubbing was so bad that I had to walk with crutches for 4 days. Once healed, I went back to wearing these shoes, and the pain started to came back. I then noticed the rubbing. It's slight, but constant. Would never have guessed that these shoes would hurt to wear, but they do. And, I've never spent this much on shoes before, but our winters get bad here, so I thought I'd bite the bullet and get a "good" pair. I'm not happy, and these expensive shoes are collecting dust.

bought in 22 wore maybe 10 times and side seam has pulled out. Trying to glue it down to no avail. May as well have thrown money out the window.

I've had several pairs of this shoe over the years. Living in Minnesota, I found it to be an ideal winter shoe for walking to the bus and getting around. But this year I had to return the new pair I'd bought. There is now a seam running down the middle of the shoe beneath the insole. After a week or so it will dig into the center of the ball of your foot. I thought it was a one-off, but when I checked at the shoe store, the next pair had it. What could Merrill be thinking?

These shoes did not live long. Only the left side opened up at the sides, like the glue didn't last.

Looking for care instructions and what kind of cleaning and additional periodic waterproofing. Live in wintery slush salt environment. No luck on Merrel site. Site seems to be all about vacuous marketing and sales foo-foo.

I love the way these shoes look; however, the shoe does not support my foot well. The size runs true (I am a 12 and got a size 12), but have developed soreness in my plantar fascia from wearing this shoe too much. It is the first time I have ever experienced this phenomenon with any foot wear. I still like the shoe, I just can't use it as everyday. I would recommend either avoiding this shoe completely or preemptively buying an insole for support (or have a high pain tolerance).
