The New Balance 990V6 is not a good fit for me. It really felt like a man's shoe. New Balance has changed this shoe to unisex size and it does not work for me. After wearing the new shoes in the house, my knees began to hurt because it was impossible to adjust the weird sizing to fit my female foot.

When i tried these shoes on i felt like the bones in my feet were hitting bottom. Not like my previous experience with New Balance. And i have been buying and wearing NB for decades! Very disappointing.

I have been using new balance for several year. This is the first shoe that I have say is a total failure. Within a few months of purchase, the shoe felt as if it had no support and my feet will hurt everytime I used it. Also, it start to fall apart externally. It looked like a 2 year old shoe after several months. I will NOT be purchasing new balance again. Their quality has gone way down.

the shoe was small

Been a 990 faithful for about 15 years. No longer. Unisex sizing? For 200$? Lazy manufacturing. Also, hard as a rock. Whatever happened with the new version is just awful. I felt like I was walking around on concrete slab. I can’t return these fast enough. Shame on NB. I would pay even more to have the version five back so don’t say it’s to save money. Don’t make that choice for me and give me crappy sloppy lazy shoes. I would gladly pay more to have what I had.

I like these shoes a lot, but one of the soles is coming off.

I have been wearing 990 shoes for many years. These shoes give me stable support for walking. I had two knee replacements this year, and I need shoes that help me walk correctly and keep my balance as I regain the strength of my leg and hip muscles. I am ordering a second pair. I like the black color because they look good with the dark blue jeans that I wear.

I originally purchased a size 7.5 M in women’s. They were way too long and way to wide even though that has been the size in all the other New Balance shoes I’ve bought in the past. I returned them and purchased a size 7 M in unisex. They fit perfectly. The length as well as the width was perfect. Now I can’t say enough about these shoes. In addition, I see and feel what the hype has been for these shoes all along. Wore them straight out of the box all day doing errands and my feet at the end of the day were not tired nor sore. Thank you New Balance for a job well done.
