Protecting my feet and ankles with comfort, is the most effective way to help me keep on hiking. Waterproof is a priority, as well as support for balance and ease of movement. I love these boots.

These boots are very comfortable for walking dogs and hiking trails. I live in Oregon and have made several hikes in rain, wet fields, snow and ice. My feet/socks never got wet.
I didn't add any waterproofing products. Well made and look great.

Loving these boots. Very comfortable with the best arch support. Lightweight, warm, good grips for walking on ice. So happy my daughter encouraged me to get these!

I bought Merrell Moab 3 to replace my 7 year old Moab's. The vibram soles are in great shape and grip surfaces well. The top padding of the boot is warn out and they are no longer waterproof. I look forward to 7 years of service from my new Merrell Moab's. They fit my orthotics and my feet are cofortable and warm for many hours of hiking.

I replaced my Merrell Moab's bought 7 years ago. The soles are in excellent shape but the padding around the top of the boot is worn out. They are no longer waterproof. I hope this pair last 7 years again...they are comfortable and well made. they fit my orthotics and I can hike many hours in comfort and warmth.

Great boot! Love the quality of the boot and the Vibram sole is great. It handled well when walking on snow and ice. The Vibram sole has improved from a few years ago as this one seems to have better grip for winter.

These are surprisingly comfortable. I bought the black ones, which look a lot like work boots and not hiking boots. If that is troublesome to you, there are other nature-inspired colors.
These are ruggedly constructed and pulling the shoe strings to tighten them is effective. With some shoes, you have to work your way up the front to remove all of the slack.
The toe and foot width are perfect for my foot with just enough space to feel good all day with no soreness.
The soles are excellent and are not slippery on wet terrain.
The size is true to form. My feet are about as average as you can get.
The old Merrill's were tough. These remind me of that excellent quality. I haven't had them long and will update if they're not good.

i work outside in the florida heat at a plant nursery. i put a lot of miles, wear and tear on my shoes. these will be my second moab 3s. i love them because my feet are flat and everything hurts after a few hours. these do not have my feet barking at the end of the day.

This was the only shoe I bought for my trip to Iceland (first time) I was kinda scared but they were amazing! I went on February and did any tour u can think of (golden circle, ice caves, etc) kept my feet dry despite the heavy snow and were comfy too

I am really enjoying my Moab 3 hiking boots. They are so comfortable and don't need time to break-in. I was unsure if I needed a size 8.5 or 9 and my regular size of 8.5 fit perfectly. I highly recommend these shoes.

These boots are spot on! I didn't even have to break them in. They were comfortable from the get go. I've worn them in two digit temps, frigid rain, and snow. My feet stayed dray and warm. I'm very pleased with them.

I work for USPS and these are the only shoes I buy. Comfortable no need to break them in. Put them on and wear them up to 16 hours from day one walking 12 plus mails on a daily average 6 days a wear. Dry feet no slipping no matter if it's wet icy covered with slick leaves. I only buy Merrells for work no other shoe comes close and at least a third of the post office I work at also only buys Merrells

These boots are really good for bad weather conditions. I wear them in the rain, when it's snowing and when it's icy. The boots really help with slipping and sliding. Most which frighten me, I'm 72. All of my friends have experienced problems but these boots are steady. Now, they're all converting. I'm too old to fall. I love them
