I put these on after they arrived and I haven’t taken them off yet! Seriously! My arches fall and I either need an insert in a shoe or the Taos footbed supports my entire arch the best! I have hyper flexibility; I do not want a squishy footbed or a sole that twists and bends. It needs to be solid, supportive, with some ability to absorb shock from concrete sidewalks. I walk a fast pace and also need straps that can fit snuggly and secure…but also look decent! My foot is medium-narrow, and size 8.5-9. At first I bought the 9. It was a slightly too big; I couldn’t get the straps positioned quite tight enough and the footbed seemed a tad big. I returned the 9 for the 8 and am wearing them every day. I walk A LOT. I walk the dog, walk with friends, walk my errands. I think these look nice given how utilitarian and functional they are. I will wear these out by the end of the season but they are going to take me through the summer and fall happy and PAIN FREE!

Thick-soled and dorky looking but super comfortable, I wish they made these in 1/2 sizes. I rounded up, but I'm going to send them back to the next full size down.

I needed regular walking sandals with good arch support and enough cushion to protect my arthritic feet - and these have turned out great! I've been wearing them regularly for summer exercise walks. My feet don't hurt wearing them or after wearing them. They're pricey but worth it.

My feet are a little narrow these fit perfect. Think they will become my most worn this summer.

I had to return these, but they are AMAZING sandals! The quality is extremely high! I returned them because they don't make them in my sandal size, which is size 5, so I tried them in a 6. Also, I did not like the look of the black accents on the straps on my feet... I wanted them to look more neutral. Don't hesitate to get these! They are truly top of the line in quality!

These sandals have great arch support and a forgiving sole that makes walking and standing comfortable. I tried these and two other sports sandals from other brands. These won out as the most comfortable and versatile as the style is closer to non-sport sandals

I'm on the fence about these. The structure of the shoe is very sturdy. They are not cute at all, but cute is not what I am going for. I bought these because they have good arch and metatarsal support, which is hard to find, as I deal with a lot of ball-of-foot pain. Hard to find shoes that provide relief for that condition. The metatarsal pad is very prominent, which does offload pressure from the balls of the feet; however, it will take a lot of getting used to and breaking in, therefor only 4 stars for comfort. Don't expect to take long walks in these from the start. The straps are well constructed and do not rub, so that is a big plus in my book. I have a low-volume, medium-width foot and have trouble finding sandals that adjust tightly enough. These fit the bill in that aspect.

My feet are "difficult" to say the least. Morton's Neuroma, plantar fascitits, etc. All that's to say, there's something freaky about the Taos brand. I can put them on, and immediately go on long walks with no problem. Their sneakers and sandals did this for me all through Italy. These sandals I got for "water shoes" (walking on the beach). I'd prefer a lower heel, but heck, they are SOOOOO freaking comfortable, I don't care. I put them on when they arrived and ran a bunch of errands. Totally perfect. I love this brand.

After rupturing my achilles tendon twice - the second time when I also fractured multiple metatarsals in the same sided foot, I have been in agony trying to find comfortable, adjustable sandals and shoes. I'm thankful to Zappos for offering such a wonderful selection and quick shipping and easy returns which sadly I have had to utilize often because of my foot and achilles issues. I ordered this shoe, along with two others similar from other companies. From my first steps in this, it has been so comfortable, even with the strap which is padded. The other two ordered have been returned. If you have similar issues, this is a winner. I ordered my usual size (9) and width (W) now due to the broken foot. The foot bed fit fine. Both straps are adjustable. I've had them a few weeks now and will order another color. My husband even thought they looked "cool".

I had hoped to love these sandals for long walks in the summer. But the foot bed makes my feet sweat. It's not a natural material I guess. If that isn't an issue for you, they have lots of cushion.

These are great sandals. I usually wear an 8 and these sandals fit best in a size 8. My feet are very narrow but the sandals are adjustable enough to fit well. The sandals are extremely comfortable and I plan on wearing them as my main walking shoes on a Mediterranean trip. They are amazing!

Very comfortable. I have a narrow foot so Velcro straps are great to adjust. Great arch support also

I’ve just walked around the house so far, but this is a really comfortable well fitting sandal. The arch hits my food at just the right place and is perfectly supportive. The leather is good quality and the soft colors are so pretty.

Very comfy with a great arch support. It's a shoe that I will recommend to anyone having arthritis issues on their foot.

Fit is tts. I wore these in the middle of July 7 days straight in Disney World. I stayed comfortable, my feet didn’t burn up from socks & sneakers, & these shoes never began to smell from sweat or park funk. Highly recommend!

Love everything about these! I bought a second pair in another color. They are very supportive for both standing and walking. They're a sport sandal, but also look good. Perfect fit for me. I do have a narrower foot and like the velcro strap adjustment for a secure fit.

I was looking for sandals I could walk in all day when sightseeing and visiting different cities this summer. We’re also heading to Disney World and I know we’ll run into rain, so I needed something that could stand up to wet weather. Lastly, I have wide feet and plantar fasciitis, so my feet are super picky. I have bought and returned so many pairs of sandals this summer in the hunt for something that met all of my very specific requirements. These sandals tick all the boxes! Comfortable right out of the box, padding on all of the straps so nothing rubs, deep, cushy heel cups, and a responsive sole with plenty of bounce. They’re lightweight, but my feet are stable and secure. While they’re not wide width, my wide feet fit comfortably. When I wear these I can’t even tell that I have plantar fasciitis! I do wish I could get a sandal this comfy that was more stylish, but at this point I’m desperate and will sacrifice style for comfort every time. This is my first pair of Taos, but it won’t be my last!

The shoe looked like it would be comfortable. I have bought othet Taos shoes that have excellent arch support. I found this sole to be stiff, and the arch support in the wrong place for my foot. I don't know if it would have worn in, but I didn't want to take the chance and keep it.

I'm really impressed with these sandals! I bought them for a trip to Costa Rica with hiking and lots of water activities but have only worn them around the house so far. When I put them on, I found them so comfortable and supportive that I couldn't take them off! I'm super excited to try these out in the real world.

I need 8.5 shoes. Taos doesn't have full sizes and this pair runs big. Very well crafted shoes with quality materials.
