I feel like Salomon took all of my favorite different components of other models and put them into this shoe to make my dreams come true. From the tread to the cushion to the upper I was happy from my first mile to my most recent mile in the Genesis. I have enjoyed these shoes making my way down pavement and dirt roads to my favorite trails and also on the most technical terrain Vermont has to offer. These are now my "go to" model.

I bought this for hiking and casual walking through a variety of state parks of various terrains. The shoes have a great grip for rocky terrain and extremely light. I think most impactful is how functional yet cute they are.

Sturdy shoe with great grip on rocky terrain. Quick laces are awesome. Shoe fits a little wider in the toe box - if you're looking for a tighter fit, maybe size down by 1/2 size.

They fit perfectly. I rarely say that about shoes. An amazing blend of soft innersole and hard outersole makes running very enjoyable.

I don't use these for trail running so I can't speak to their performance for that though they seem pretty beefy and have serious tread so I would think they'll work well. I wear them as an everyday shoe. I love Salomons because they fit my feet perfectly. Whatever size you wear in your other Salomons is what size you'll wear in these. They are my new favorite shoe!

I am so grateful that I bought these. I have a wider toe box and a narrow ankle. These are so comfortable and do not slip at all. The stability is incredible as well.

Really great shoe for muddy and slightly technical terrain. Took them for a spin and was pleasantly surprised at how well they handled the early spring conditions. Highly Recommend!

The shoe feels great on technical hills and gravel roads alike. Tucking the lacing away does not have a smooth flow, which isn't ideal. The location to do so at the top often gets caught in the top of the lacing, so most times I put the shoe on it's slower than I would like.

Love Salomon trail shoes. Normally buy the Alpha Cross waterproof ones with normal lacing. Genesis seems to be a good shoe so far, but I've never been a fan of this black lacing setup because the more you wear it, the longer the lacing gets! would love to see more shoe choices with Normal lacing

The toe box was too narrow and not enough cushioning for me, unfortunately!

Ive worn these shoes a handful of times now and am really impressed by the traction on muddy and icy conditions. The design of the shoe is sleek, but durable on trails. The design of the shoe is nice, so that mud comes off easily. Its really comfortable too! My first shoe without real laces, and I really like the fit.
