Would be a favorite... but is with the poor color choices for the women's Genesis? Very lacking in color choices for women! Recommend to have different color choices. The men's version has better colors. (Meanwhile the women's choices of Black/Sulphur Spring/Orchid Petal and Carbon/Grisaille/Aloe Wash colors are kinda ugly)

First time with the genesis and they have become my favorite. Have used XA-pro and speed cross 6. These are great shoes right out of the box. I walked 170 miles in 13 days on the Camino de Santiago in Spain. Walking through the Pyreenes, it was sleeting and muddy- these shoes were great. The only thing is the toe box got a little stiff toward the end of the walk. Once I washed when I got home, they were fine. I walk in trail runners because I like the stability of the shoe, but walking on the road, all trail runners wear out faster than road runners. (My shoes usually only last 3 months). I have run marathons and long distance races and wore road runners which were great, but once I stopped running and started walking, I switched to trail runners because they were a sturdier shoe. I need a wider toe box and this shoe was perfect.

Looked and felt larger than New Balance, Nike and Asics running shoes. I would get a smaller size. The laces are weird so zoom in see if you can live with them. The traction is amazing. Upper material feels water resistant and is not soft. Perfect for trails and supportive for the road.

Great support, especially arch support! Have never had any Salomon product I did not love. My daughter just started wearing Salomon from my incessant raving about them!

I wear a size 8.5 and these fit. However, in trying them on and walking inside the house, they began to hurt my feet via the sides of the shoes. I loosened the laces and tried that. Still, there was a subtle pressure that caused a subtle pain. I have narrow feet and the width seemed appropriate. Something in the construction creates a different fit to what I am used to in a Salomon shoe. I have only owned the Speedcross 5 in the past and that fit me exactly right.

Bought these about 3 weeks ago and as always with Salomon shoes did not disappoint! I tend to get a lot of heel pain but not at all with these.

This is my second pair of this exact shoe and I got them as my main shoe to run the Leadville 100 this year! There is just the right amount of cushioning so you dont feel every rock that you step on! They are so comfortable and stand up very well to all the trail elements!

They are excellent and still like new, no matter how much I used them. I love that they are very light and have a good grip. Very comfortable for me, I ordered half more size, and maybe that is why I feel them so comfortable and I don't feel them big.

Great traction, you can really feel the grip on any terrain especially hiking. Lacks comfort in vamp as it restricts natural spreading in take off causing front sole and welt support. Really tightens the throat line upon landing. Had minor small toe pain upon running my 3rd mile. The unnatural bending causes metatarsal and phalange strain.

I wear Solomon's for work but have never purchased a pair for personal use until now. I bought these shoes for trail running and they were perfect. The provided extra cushion, ankle support, and grip.

Best trail shoe ever. Extremely comfortable (and cushy) out of the box and the 8mm drop is just perfect. Super grippy and light, making it a great choice for long technical trail runs. The best feature though, is the support from the active chassis. This shoe is a must-have.

Comfortable, narrow (which is great for my feet), and durable enough to handle the trails. Highly recommend for anyone trying to do sub-ultra trail running/training.

I was choosing between these shoes and the Glides to start training/racing ultra trail races. I ultimately chose this shoe because I live on the East Coast and most trails I run on are rocky. I also went a half size bigger than my road shoe size because I found my feet swelling more on long trail runs than long road runs, and I had a lot of toe jamming issues. These shoes are versatile, the toe box is stiff, and although I was worried about my foot slipping around inside the shoe, I feel like these shoes provide the perfect balance of stable yet let me feet do what they need to do. The shoes handle well on technical trail, gravel, uphill, and through a variety of rocks, including big, slippery rocks. The hideaway laces are a nice feature as well.

might run a little big, but ill never know because you cant return once theyre worn. shoes always feel different running vs just walking around the house. almost all other shoe companies let you run in them and still return. only bummer about Salomon.

I am a long-term wearer of the speedruns and XA pros. Switched recently to the Genesis and I have been loving the sticky tread - makes me feel confident on rocks. Also very comfortable out of the box - a bit slimmer profile around the ankle that the other styles. Converted!

I've been running in the Genesis since it launched in early 2024. This is my go-to shoe for trail runs and summer hikes. It scrambles on rock pretty well too. Love all the colors!!

The shoes are comfortable, do well on wet surfaces. I use them almost every day to hike with my dogs. Works well on every terrain. They are a bit chunkier than my speedcross 5 but overall they are a good shoe.
