I rarely leave reviews. However, I've wanted a pair of these sandals forever. So when they went on sale, I knew that was my chance! I'm so happy I did. The initial break in was as expected, but after a few wears...I don't think I'll own another pair of sandals again. I've never been able to walk for long periods of time in any type of sandal because there's never any arch support. Because these form to your foot they provide the comfort thats needed. If you've been on the fence about this brand, just dive right in. Your feet will thank you!!

When these shoes arrived I was so excited. They are super cute and stylish! I have never had the Big buckle. I was kind of bummed because I saw that they had the soft foamish footbed. I don't like the ones on my water Birks but these are different. the material looks similar but it's not the same cheap material they use on the Gizeh water shoes. This is a better quality and oh, so very comfortable. I had a small piece on the leather strap that was a bit dented, but I decided to keep them anyway. It's not something that's noticeable unless you are looking for flaws. Which I don't want to do, I just want to wear them and enjoy them. And I do enjoy wearing them. I have 5 pairs of Gizeh Birks and love them all, but these take the cake. I'm a 8 1/2 and got a 39. I will say I maybe could have done the 38 because I'm at the tightest it can go and I still have some room. My feet are usually always swelling and it's not been an issue in these, due to the room on the top where the strap is.

the size fit great, they are really comfortable and I Love the color. The more you wear them the more they get comfortable, the form to your feet in a way.

I always take a 37 European size in Birkenstocks. My regular shoe size is 7 1/2 US sizing. These shoes were so comfortable from the moment I put them on. They felt already broken in- I LOVE THEM!

So cute and so comfortable. I started wearing them right away almost every day. One thing that is cool is the footbed is black so it's not the usual footprint you see in Birkenstocks.

Birkenstock’s are always a winner! The trick is finding your correct size. I have plantar fasciitis and the Gizeh as well as Arizona style never hurt my feet. This black Big Buckle style is dressier than the standard Gizeh. I love them! I recommend Birkenstock’s to all my family and friends!

The comfort of a broken-in pair of Birks is the best. This new addition to my collection is comfy and fits well.

Medium width works best for my average feet. Narrow Birkenstock didn’t. Like this style and metatarsal support; very comfortable.

These sandals need no breaking in. They are very comfortable and stylish. They are true to size and run a little narrow, so they are a perfect fit for my narrow feet.

Comfortable fit as was expected from birkenstock. So happy I caught it on sale.

I owe 30+ pairs of Birkenstock, and this one is my favorite because of comfort and style. Love the leather soles. They feel divine. Love that this style is available in regular width- fits my feet perfectly. Love the look- it’s stylish and goes with everything. And these are my first Gizeh that do not hurt between my toes. Go figure. They all seem the same, but feel different. These particular model is perfect.

I love these sandals. They fit well with hardly any break-in time. The deeper footbed protects my toes from being hurt when I hit them against something.

I’ve worn Birkenstocks for years, but this is my first Gizeh and I love them. I was always worried that the toe thong would rub and chafe, but it doesn’t… these are very comfortable. The style is great and the big buckle makes them look quite modern.

The high shine black leather looks like plastic. I love the big-buckle style Gizeh, but the instep-strap is too long. If you have a high instep and/or chubby feet, these might work for you.

These were my first pair of Birkenstocks! Comfortable right out of the box. Wasn’t sure if the black was going to be too much but they are great! Love the big buckle. Highly recommend!
