As a longtime Gizeh-wearer, I was excited when I saw this updated style. They came today and did not disappoint! The footbed is super soft and the wide strap and buckle are super stylish and flattering. I’ll be wearing these forever.

I have problematic feet (arthritis in toes ,mortons neuroma planter fasciitis) etc. I have had several pairs of birkenstocks - the first pair I ever got ( almost 15 years ago) was a size 40 gizeh style ( 9) but it was always too long - I am a 9 in shoes and boots and a 91/2 in sneakers but in sandals I take an 81/2 or a 39. I wore Naot sandals for years and usually took a 39 only if it ran narrow did I take a 40 or a wide 39 .I ordered these in a 39 and its close but i am worried the 40 will have too much space in front and that can actually be a hazard.Birkenstocks take a while to break in but these were the same basic size as my Arizona birkenstock's - my only other observation is they are a little narrow so if you have very wide feet beware .Cute sandals looking forward to them- I got a tip from Birkenstock that if a strap is bothering you carefully use an emery board on the underside only- the keyword is careful -it didn't work on a high gloss leather pair but helped break in another sandal that was rubbing under the strap - in my experience they are never straight out of the box sandals but they can go on for several seasons once you break them in .

The shoe had bits of glue showing on the cork and leather. I returned it.

I love these shoes!!! They are stylish, comfortable and versatile!!! I’d own numerous pairs if I could afford to. They are well worth the money, don’t get me wrong, just wish that my bank account allowed me to splurge weekly on these shoes

This shoe is true to size and is extremely comfortable. I love the look of the large buckle.

These Gizeh sandals are stunning in the Cognac leather! The main strap is a little wider than it is on the regular buckle style, and with the larger gold-tone buckles and gold button on the toe post it really elevates the look to be dressy enough to wear beyond casual. Love the toned liner and - at least while I'm breaking in during the winter - it is every bit as comfortable as the suede and doesn't feel slippery. Sizing was a slight surprise: I wear a 41R in Mayari Birkflor and 42N in Arizona leather - I figured I'd be a 41 in these too, but turns out with the Gizeh in Leather I'd do best with a 41.5... which doesn't exist lol. The 41 felt really comfy in the footbed but my toe hit the front ridge so I'm keeping the 42s. Hoping break-in fixes the slight anomalies of the different size to usual Birk comfort, because these really are gorgeous!!!

This is my seventh pair of Birks and second pair of Gizeh - the older pair is narrow and fits perfectly. I’m really disappointed that these no longer come in narrow because that’s what I need for best fit. I’m going to have to add additional holes to this sandal to make them tighter because they stretch out, or send them back. Aside from that, this is a beautiful sandal with the excellent support that I expect from Birkenstock.

Beautiful shoes but the toe strap rubs my big toenail with every step. Same great quality. Just need a different style

I've been a faithful client of Birkenstock for decades. I've been really excited to see that the company is expanding and adding new fashionable options every season. It's such a disappointment however, that most of the cute styles are only available narrow. I was really excited about these shoes though. I love the color of the soft dark brown, fun big bright buckle and thick white sole. I returned them because the metal button in the joint between the toes is a different metal that clashes with the buckle.

This was my second order of this shoe, after the first order came and there was only one shoe in the box, I had a replacement within a few days. I was glad and happy it was resolved by the excellent customer service I had received.

Love this style with a little more coverage and the big buckle. They are true to size (11M/42). The footbed is a smooth leather and felt comfortable from day one.

Only complaint is the black sole discolors the bottoms of my feet. Having the bottoms of my feet turn black makes them look terribly dirty and I don't like that.

I usually wear a size 6W or 6.5 - 7. I tried on both the 35 and 36 in this style and ultimately went with the 35 (I have two other pairs of Birkenstocks in this size). For both pairs, there were some minor visual scratches (not actual dents) in the leather. However, I used Collonil Leather Gel (I use this on my designer handbags to clean and protect leather) and that helped to make the leather a consistent color. Before you think there's something wrong with the leather / quality, I recommend treating the leather. I have only worn these around the house to break them in and so far they are comfortable. Looking forward to see how long these hold up for.

These sandals are super cute! I would say they are true to size and can’t wait to wear them out! I can’t say yet how comfortable they are because I haven’t worn them much. I’m very happy with my purchase!

I love the big buckle style! Wish they had more silver buckles available.

This is my second pair of Birkenstock Gizeh. I like that they don't buckle the shoe for me so I can get it fitted how I want it. The suede is still getting used so it will take a while to get softer. Its comfortable and colorful and can't wait to use it all summer.

These fit smaller than all my other Birkenstocks. Still deciding if I want to keep them (and hope they fit better when broken in) Because the style is so cute!

These are so cute! The buckle on my right foot rubs a sore spot, but I believe that will go away once they are broken in some more because my other Gizeh’s don’t do that . Fun color too.

They take a little breaking into but have great support. I have wide feet and they fit good. I am happy with my purchase.

Item was too large

The left shoe really hurts my toes. They were a little scuffed on arrival, but that may be the nature of the leather. The arch and heal support is fabulous and worth the price.

the fit is fine, but the leather is very stiff and is giving me blisters. I ordered the cognac ones and they are buttery soft. This black pair is nothing like that.

These were cute but the leather sole caused my feet to slide. They were also too large.

Beautiful however I am wide width and have several pair in different Colors, however this pair was tight

I'm shocked at how much I like these, but the color is not as pictured on the website. It's mustard, not popcorn. Going back.
