I didn't realize I bought the "regular" width style, and wowza, the toe box is so wide that it looked like I was wearing flippers! Easily an extra half inch between the edges of the sandal and my outer most toes. Had they been narrower, I would have kept them- the three straps offer a secure hold (I could probably run after my dog comfortably), and more feminine looking than the Arizona's.

These are nice looking, but run large. Will return and a smaller size. The blue color is great and will go with everything!

I really like this sandal overall. The navy blue color is saturated and won’t be mistaken for black. I wore my previous Mayari style to death, sadly I waited too long to take them to the cobbler. My only real complaint was they weren’t comfortable to wear with socks so I couldn’t wear them year round. This Franca style is cute and I can wear socks when the weather is cool and dry. My Mayari’s were a 37, I wear a 7.5 or 8 in other shoes, and I ordered 37 again. The Franca size is comparable, maybe a smidge longer. My only real note of caution is the width. My Mayari’s didn’t have a width specified and so I ordered a Medium width. I find the Franck’s a bit too wide in the toe box, and tightening the toe straps to the shortest length didn’t help. I only notice it around my big toe because it’s not fully seated within the molded toe ridge. Unfortunately I didn’t remember about the narrow width until I’d worn the shoes outside so I will be keeping this pair. So if you always wear a narrow or medium width in other shoes get the narrow Franca.

These are HUGE compared to my other pairs of Birkenstocks. I loved the color and style but sadly have to return them.

I was really disappointed when I tried these on. They just did not fit like I expected, having owned many pairs over the years. I have a pair of Birkenstock clogs that are ten years old, and when I measured the soles of them against these, these are about 1/4” narrower than they are. They are beautiful, but they aren’t wide enough for me.

I have worn Birkenstocks for years and for some reason lately they just don't fit. Not sure if sizes are a tiny bit larger then before or the leather is of less quality.

I was expecting a bit of a more narrow shoe. But what prompted me to return was that the straps are not soft at all, and rubbed against my feet. I know there would be a break-in period, but I felt like these would never be truly comfortable.

I returned these and bought another pair of Mayari, this time in black. The Franca style was very cute, but it didn’t have the support that the Mayari has, especially since it lacks the toe loop. These kept feeling like I was going to walk out of them. I have a narrow foot and had to use the last holes to make them feel secure. Much prefer my Mayari style, which are comfy right out of the box!

My experience with Birkenstock’s is that regular width is actually wide and narrow width is regular width. If I cinched these down to the smallest buckle setting, I could make them fit. But the other thing about Birkenstock’s is that the leather is inexplicable heavy and harsh. They have been returned. But the oiled red color is really pretty.

Felt smaller than regular size 39. The strap closest to you leg did it lay properly and actually cut into my skin.

This model of birks seem to run narrower than the other wide ones. I ordered regular width but by then end of the day my poor feet were very swollen and somehow felt extremely squished and in pain. I own several other sandal pairs from birks all in regular width and they are fine even when my feet swell. But these ouch.

I ordered the Birkenstock Franca in 37N, which is the size I always wear in Birkenstocks, but the shoes were too narrow and made my feet look unnaturally wide. I had really been looking forward to receiving them because the cross straps across the toes looked so cute, and the local shops were all out of my size.

The shoe is nicely styled, fit well and looked good on. Only problem was the color was not as it looked online. I even sent the first pair back because the color wasn’t what it looked like online. It is described as “oiled” leather but it looked like regular leather. Online it looked nicely aged but in person? Very disappointing. Sent the second pair back as well.

They're my first pair of Birkenstocks and I really wanted to love them. They're adorable. But they feel a little big. And even though you can "technically" adjust the straps, if i make them even one hole tighter, the strap ends will hit the ground. The support beneath the toes is so high it's physically painful. I'm super bummed.

It is rare I meet a pair of Birkenstocks I do not like. Unfortunately, this was one of those rare occasions. First, I was surprised by the color. The shoes were described as oiled leather and the picture appeared to be a shoe of rich brown tones. The shoe is more of a sueded tan. That would have been OK but when I tried on the shoes the cross strap across the toes was uncomfortable, probably because of the uneven nature of one strap being higher than the other. My favorite Birkenstock feminine style is the Salina. I was hoping this would give the Salina some competition but for me, unfortunately, it does not. I will be sending them back.

While the footbed is plenty long for my feet, the arches in the footbed were high on the foot, hitting my in the balls of my feet while not providing support for my actual arch. This is odd because I've had 5 or 6 pairs of birks in the past and never before had this problem. The leather of the straps were also very thick and rigid and not comfy at all.

I love these, but they turn my feet blue. If I wear them for a few hours when I take them off it looks like I still have them on from the blue bleeding onto my feet. You can't see the blue when you have them on so it doesn't usually effect me, but one time I didn't think about it and needed to dress up and change shoes. Well you can guess how awesome my feet looked even after I scrubbed them.

I do not mind the overall look and feel. Unfortunately I have a tailor bunion on my right foot and it hits the side of the sole where it curves upward. Sadly sending it back.

I followed Zappos recommended sizing and ordered two pairs in size 39 (US Women's 8-8.5) in a narrow and a wide width and the shoes were too small in length. My third toes were catching on the raised edge of the footbed. Also, the wide width pair were too wide (not sure why I ordered them, I never wear wide shoes.) I tried size 40 (US Women's 9-9.5) narrow at another retailer and they fit perfect. Sizing aside, the sandals seem comfortable when I tried them on but overall I didn't love this style, the Franca, in real life. My sizing in all other shoes: 9 regular width (my feet measure 10" long).

These felt more narrow than my Mayari ones. I like my Birkenstocks with breathing room, this felt too narrow.

This is about the 5th or 6th pair of Birkenstocks I've had--and my first impression is that the buckles (6 altogether) are flimsy and difficult to adjust. Now that I've tried 4 different ways to buckle them, am hoping that these sandals will live up to the Birkenstock reputation.
