The size 38 fit perfect, but the dark buckles stood out next to the coral color and made my wide foot look gigantic. The black oiled ones look great, so I kept them.

I love this style but it’s hard to wear with my high instep. Also, I’m used to the soft bed and you can’t get this color with that option. I’m sending them back.

These were narrow, but still fit. I knew this when I ordered them so I do have the buckles set on last hole. I love them.

The "B" Franca is fantastic, just right for me.

They were ok. If you have a bunion, the strap hits right on it.

This was a full size up from what I need so will be exchanged.

I have worn Birkenstocks for years, and have gone back and forth with the narrow vs regular width depending on the style of shoe. I went with narrow for these sandals - a little snug, but with an adjust of the buckle they'll be just fine!

Nice sandals, as are all Birkenstocks, but I find that those made in Germany and Portugal (Papillio) are too stiff for me and the fit is different. (I returned these.) I LIVE in my old "made in Spain" 1.5 inch heel cork wedge sandals (with various styles in uppers). The footbed/sole/lower is perfect for me. I can't get used to the new Birkenstock/Papillio footbeds/soles/lowers and their stiffness and different contours, unfortunately. Even the Dana clogs made in Spain fit me so much better than the same style made in Portugal.

I can tell right now they are going to take awhile to break in. I have some small blisters already but once they are broken in, I know they will be super comfortable. Love this sandal!

I wanted this to replace my 15 year old Florida in red. Wish it came in regular width since the narrow doesn't work for me. I have 2 other Franca in regular width and love them. Had to return the red and keep searching..y feet are short and thick so the ankle strap was way too tight.

These are really beautiful sandals. The problem I had was that I have very narrow feet. I ordered the narrow but it was still too wide. I also thought it ran a little long.

The 39 fits size 8 perfectly,straps seem durable ,shiny patent which is nice. The original footbed does take some breaking in but I can see how it will mold to the foot in time. Nice ,sturdy sandal that is also pretty . Thank you Zappos for the amazing service!

I ordered the narrow - thought they might be too tight. However, breaking them in slowly, adjusting the straps they are beginning to feel really good.

These are my first Birks, therefore can’t give too much info. I can say, I originally ordered size 39 narrow and they were too big. I had used the size your fit question and I stated a size 8 Croc was what I wore and it gave me 39 would be my size. I then used the size your fit question again and I stated size 8 in Nike sneakers and it gave me 38 size, which fit perfect. I ordered it narrow as well.

Everything was technically fine. But, I have very sensitive feet (arthritis and a lot of standing), so I should have known that the Franca wouldn't work without a soft foot bed. Also, as noted by others, the top "strap" was stiff and a bit "sharp". I'm sure it could be softened with wear, but I wouldn't be able to get there with this harder foot bed.

I wear an 8.5 or 9 in other shoes. The size 39 narrow is perfect. A true narrow sandal. I don’t even have to tighten the straps all the way. Very comfortable after a one day break in time.

Not the color of tobacco. The pair I received are closer to a putty, not enough brown for me.

I wanted to love these. The straps were so hard and pinched the outside bone of both feet. To be fair, I have super boney feet. Had to return.

Had to return the first pair 6-6.5 ordered the 5-5.5 they fit perfectly. Not liking the color I ordered the tobacco brown, its more like a dark sand color. Iam hoping the color will darken. I usually cant wear sandles other than Keen, I hope these work out.

These would have been great if they allowed for a wider variety of toe profiles. My third toe on one foot is longer than my big toe, and it hit the edge of this sandal. Otherwise the size was perfect.

First time to try this style. It’s lovely. Feminine and sweet. Really into dark blue right now. The one I ordered was like a navy blue. I ordered a 38, which fits great. I have a little space in front of toe and behind heel. I usually wear a 7 or 7.5 in casual shoes.

These were really cute! I ordered the blue and tobacco to try out the regular and narrow widths. I loved both colors. Regular worked better for me in my typical Birkenstock size, which is a 37 and I wear a US size 7-7.5. However, I felt like the double straps and double buckles around the toe box area added a lot of bulk and emphasized the widest part of my foot. Reluctantly sent them back. I chose the Mayari style instead because it has a slimmer profile and fewer straps.

Really wanted these to fit. My last purchase of Birkenstock at 39, as I'm 8-8.5 was a whole size too big, so I dropped down to a 38 and they fit perfectly. These seem to run half size smaller, and at size 38 my toes hit the front ridge. :-( Also, I have an inch gap where my big toe sits and edge of sandal because of bunions, so my foot is cocked at an angle and does not hit the toe grip correctly. Nice sandal but does not work for me. Sending back.

Normally Birkenstocks are too wide for my low volume feet, but these were perfect in the Narrow size. What wasn't perfect was the toe bar which was too high and uncomfortable. Disappointed, because these met every other point.

I originally ordered a 38, I'm a size 7/7.5 US. It was too big. My toes did not sit on toe ridge at all. I switched to the 37 and they fit perfectly. Very stiff at first but quickly softens.The metatarsal arch pad takes some getting used to. I've only worn them once since I just got them but I plan to wear every day this week.
