I had always had Birk clogs. I had never had the sandals. I got these, and initially, I had trouble wearing them. But people told me, ease into them, wear them around the house and they will be great! I stuck with these sandals and they are the best and most comfortable shoe that I have ever owned. What my initial problem was the leather hitting against my foot horizontally, just under the big toe. I broke these in by wearing them with socks, and then without. These are absolutely the best shoes ever!

I love Birkenstocks! I ordered the mocha and they are perfect! So comfortable and so cute! Soft Footbed is the only way to go!! Also, it seems that Birkenstocks always run a little big. I usually wear a 9 in most shoes, however I always wear a 39 (8-8.5) in Birkenstocks. I just love them! Thank you Zappos!

Shoes were delivered very fast. Wonderful customer service. These shoes are so comfortable. I normally were a 7 1/2 to 8 in regular width and I purchased these in size 38 (narrow). Perfect. The orange color is so much fun. Have gotten lots of compliments. My daughter loved them and also purchased a pair. Will be back for more colors.

This is my second pair of Birkenstocks, and I love them. I have metatarsalgia, and these are the most comfortable things on my feet! My first pair are identical with the normal footbed and are just as comfortable. Shopping with Zappos is awesome!

This was my first pair of Birkenstocks, had some intrepidations, along with a closet full of shoes that I can't wear well. The arches were a little hard to get used to and for the first week or so I wasn't sure I had solved my shoe problem but then all of a sudden I put them on and by the end of the day my Birkenstocks and my feet became one. I have worn them everywhere, another pair will be in my home soon, these will be my shoes for life. It takes a bit for the Birkenstocks to conform to your feet but when they do -- magic.

I love these Birkenstocks. The color is a beautiful true red. The fit is great and I love the cushy footbed.

I wear an 8.5N or 9N sandal. The Birkenstock Arizona sandal in 38N was very comfortable but ever so slightly too short.

I love these shoes and haven't been without a pain in 30 years. I prefer N width and always forget to order it. They run large for my taste so I order a size smaller than usual.

I wear Birkenstock sandals all the time and can never find what I want in the store. They run a little larger than size but are very comfortable.

My feet are wider than the average foot and I got these sandals to accommodate that but when I put them on they looked more clunky than I imagined they would. I usually order between 7 and 7.5 (7.5 for heels/work shoes, 7 in sandals and sneakers since they stretch and are not too constricting on my foot) and size 38 was about half a size too long on my foot. I'm afraid that the size 37 might be a tad too small, I don't want my heels or toes spilling over the edge. However, it's of great quality - I ordered the antique dune leather color and the leather looks sturdy enough to last for quite a few years. It seems like a shoe you would have to break in and after you did, it would be a comfortable summer staple. The look is just not for me! I'm going to exchange it for the Gizeh style and see how that turns out.

I have worn Birkenstocks for years but these were my first pair of the soft footbed. I am now a convert of the soft footbed. I have plantar faciitis and these were so comfortable. I will buy another pair for sure!

Wow, how Birkenstock has changed. While they look like the same shoes I bought in 1986, they're not! I just remembered today how back in '86 I vowed to never buy Birkenstocks again. Terrible pain to break in. Hard hitting the pavement. Glad I forgot about that experience...after one full day of trucking around, I'm happy as a clam at high tide. They got more comfortable as the day passed.

The Suede Birks are classic, and when you get accustomed to them (if you are a new Birk wearer), you'll love them! They are the closest thing to being barefoot while wearing footwear! However, the leather Birks (I got the Antique Dune color) are much stiffer and take some breaking in. My feet are getting more and more use to them and the stiff upper; and while the Antique Dune is gorgeous (think Indiana Jones jacket!), every time I put my ol' suede Birks on, I think, oh, yeah, this is how comfortable they can be! I hope after wearing for a few months that the leather pair softens up and gets ultra comfy. They sure look nice!

I have worn the Birkenstock Florida for over 20 years and after getting another pair of the narrow size, decided they were a bit too narrow. The soft footbed is much more comfortable and the Arizona seems to fit well. I would highly recommend then for anyone with plantar fasciitis or other foot problems. Zappos service is excellent.

Exceptionally comfortable sandal! Does not slip off your feet like some do. Great arch support. Outstanding buy if you are looking for value as I have worn mine for 3 months and they still look great, even the sole!

While visiting us from out-of-town, a good friend foolishly left his Birkenstock shoes just inside our front door. Our 15-year-old cat, who has already demonstrated that, due to his age and seniority, all previously not forcible rules no longer apply to him, urinated in one of the sandals. Because they were very old and worn, our friend refused to tell us their size. So I took the size of his athletic shoes and was pleasantly surprised to find that I could convert to metric sizes on the Zappos site. You shipped them directly to our friend at breakneck speed, I might add and they fit perfectly! We were proud. Our friend was happy. Thanks!

Very comfertable shoes. I have foot problem which I can only wear Finn Comfort shoes. But they are expensive, with this, it's perfect that works at the same time, with a lower price tag. I now have a comfort shoes to wear at home.

Excellent comfort thanks to the soft footbed. I chose the narrow model and found it perfect for my feet. Great arch support, relieves my plantar fasciitis pain.

I have been wearing Birkenstocks for a while and have always been pleased with them. The soft footbed is great! Don't think I can go back to the original style after wearing these.

I love my Birkenstock Arizona Soft Footbed shoes of Sumatra Leather. The added cushion of the Soft Footbed really comforts my feet and the natural traditional shape and support features of the footbed relieve the pressures of my plantar fasciitis. And above all, I like the super soft leather straps. This is important to me because some of the harder leathers will wear my skin raw but the soft leather immediately comforts my foot in a sock or dare to bare.

You can't get better Birks for a better price! I got these shoes for my boyfriend; he says they are really comfortable and long lasting. Minor issue with sizing though (you might want to try a size down from your regular shoe size).

The shoes needed no break in period. Right on the feet and felt they were 'old' friends. I would highly recommend them.

I bought these sandals in winter. So far, I have only worn them around the house. But I think I will really enjoy wearing them next summer. This is the first pair of sandals I have seen that I have thought would be comfortable, functional, and even a little cool. They're expensive! But the design of them was so fascinating and the free shipping policy of Zappos was so attractive that I decided to try a pair. I have a rather narrow foot, and the availability of this sandal in a narrow width was another factor that appealed to me. And the raised edge around the sandal looked like it might help keep the sandal on my foot. And in general, the construction of the sandal looked durable and fascinating. The first thing I noticed was that I was in no danger of stepping out of the sandal. No additional strap on the back of the sandal is necessary. Then, I noticed that the shape of the sandal really does provide arch support that is unlike anything I have ever experienced in a shoe. It puts a very pleasant pressure in the center of the bottom of my foot, and when I take them off, my foot tells me it liked that sensation. Supposedly, you can get these sandals re-soled for a modest charge. It will probably take me at least a few years to put that much wear on them, but maybe these sandals will last a very long time. Bottom line: I like the sandals very much, and they are the only sandals I have ever thought would prove to be functional footwear. The design and materials are very attractive. No regrets. I did need to order a second pair in a larger size, but Zappos made it easy for me to make the exchange.
