I’m at 8 and ordered a 38. Perfect. I also find that the suede is the MOST comfortable Arizona; it’s the only material I’ll get from now on!

I purchased the narrow size 38 and they fit my foot width great. However, they are slightly shorter in length than my regular size 38. So keep in mind you lose a little length when you choose the narrow size. For me, that wasn’t a problem but when walking, my toes touch the front sole lip and it was annoying at first but after a few days of wear, I no longer notice. The first pair I ordered had a big glop of glue over the front lip so I ordered a replacement pair. Side by side, the suede was pretty different...one pair had nappier and dirtier looking suede than the other. Luckily the non-defective pair had the nicer leather. Another curious issue that I read about in other reviews is the noise the shoes make when walking...subtle foot farts is the only way I can describe it. I don’t think anyone around would notice it but I can feel the air being pushed out from under my arches so I am tuned in to it. Never had that problem with my other Birks - so I am assuming it has something to do with the flexibility in the soft footbed as this is my first pair with this feature. Overall, I love them. Love Zappos, too. Especially for shoes like this because you can order multiple pairs until you find the exact right pair for you and return the rest.

Now I see why so many people have loved Birkenstocks. They are very comfortable and continue to improve as I wear them. I recently tried the standard hard bed sandals, but my feet were too sensitive. The soft bed was better for me, and suede upper straps were softer as well and helped me to feel right at home. I took a 2 mile walk in them shortly after receiving them. Turned out not to be the best move as I developed a blister from the inside of the instep strap on one foot. I discovered a rough spot on the inside where the suede had been cut into its normal shape. A little time we’ll spent with an emery board smoothed our the inside of the strap and solved the problem. Many thanks to the efficiency and flexibility of Zappos (as always!) since I had to try several styles and two sizes before finding my present comfy and supportive pair. I look forward to a long time of comfortable wearing. Again, kudos to Zappos. The sandals do run quite wide, but I knew that before ordering them based on previous reviews.

After a bit of trial and error, I've finally found the right fit for me in these shoes - yay! At the end it was a toss-up between the 40 Regular and the 40 Narrow. I liked the snugness of the narrow, but my small toes hit right where the cork footbed bends at the end so I knew that would bother me. The regulars were just a tad wider so my toes fit much better at the end. I figure if the suede straps stretch out at all, I can just add another hole for the buckle. The arch support feels like it's going to be great for my over-pronation problem - I can definitely feel it keeping my feet in line so much better. I'm looking forward to ordering these in different colors now that I know the right size.

Birkenstock's are always the best for foot support and comfort. My knee even stopped hurting as soon as I put them on. No breaking in required. When you first put them on you will think they are too big but they aren't. Go with it. Wear them in the house as well as outside. So you are going to need at least two pairs.

There’s this Whole Foods kind of feeling when you put your Birkenstocks on. Just don’t wear them with socks please. LOL. You have to make sure you get the best possible fit. Otherwise they’re really uncomfortable. They happen to fit me perfectly and they’re comfortable for the hot climate. Got a nice light suede pair for the Cape this summer.

I'm a size 6 and the zappos sizing said 37 (6-6.5) but they definitely fit like a 7. I gave them to my sister who is a 7.5 and they fit her perfectly.

Purchased these suede (soft footbed) Birgenstock sandals for my daughter. Color and softness were just what she was looking for. She tried on the original (hard) footbed and didn't care too much for them. These soft footbeds are great. She has flat wide feet and I personally think they are a little wider than normal but it doesn't bother her at all. Overall she really likes these sandals. Will be purchasing other soft footbed styles soon.

Perfect fit as always. I wear a 38 narrow and I’m a 7/7.5.

This is my second pair of Arizona's and I love these shoes. And for those of us with bunions, they are the perfect shoe for great support while also looking stylish.

The only reason I gave this shoe a 4 for style is because the actual color is much different from the photo. The photo looks tan to me but the actual sandal is darker and quite greenish. I'm keeping them anyway because it's a good color too. I'm a 9-1/2 and ordered a 40. The fit is perfect. Super comfortable and I love the excellent arch support.

Zappos can’t overemphasize the consideration that if you’re a woman and even if you normally wear a B or Medium width, the Narrow is likely to fit better. I initially bought the 42 Regular in the same sandal, and it was the right length but otherwise swimming on me. I considered adding additional hole punches to the straps, until I went back to the product info and reviews. The fact that your turnaround is so fast made this issue nothing more than a hiccup. I’m very pleased w/ my Arizonas (42 Narrow). I’m back to Birks after a few years “away,” and I’m very glad.

I love the material, it is super soft and made them easier to break in. I own a pair of black plastic Birks and my feet are already used to the fit which has been less painful to break in. Very pleased so far with the quality of the sandal.

I bought the narrow width and it’s a regular shoe width - which is great because I find the normal width of Birkenstocks very wide. Definitely gets more comfortable as you break it in.

I bought these to wear in my studio while I work. I'm on my feet most of the time and wanted to give these a try intending to wear them with thick puffy socks (I work alone, so....). Anyway, I probably wore them a little bit too long the first time and my feet and legs/hips hurt that night. I didn't wear them the next day and was thinking I'd send them back, but decided to give them another shot with puffier socks on. They are getting better as my feet get used to them. Normally I wear a very flat soft shoe by Sketchers called something like Walk, or Walk 2 or some such thing, which have little support. After all those years wearing a shoe with no support on my feet all day I suppose it'll take some getting used to. I'm keeping them. the fit was good. I'm normally a 7.5 and my foot is a normal width, not narrow or wide. I got the regular width, not narrow in a size 38 and they fit good. I like the look of them and that I can slip into them easily and my feet don't get too hot. Guess I'm keeping them.

My first pair of Birks. I’m a woman & have never needed a narrow shoe until I bought these. I suppose it’s because they’re unisex so the regular fit accommodates an average size man’s foot. Length was true to size & comfort was great. Only drawback is that sandal “sucks” the sole of my foot & makes noise when I walk, but hopefully this will stop with wear.

These are very comfortable and have excellent arch support. Perfect therapy for your feet while being hippie chic stylish. The suede straps are super soft. You can’t go wrong with Birks!

I love Birkenstock sandals...unfortunately, my puppy does too! Had to order a new pair after he chewed through two other pair. The Arizona has always been my favorite and the suede Arizona is exactly what I wanted. I typically wear an 8 but had to return the 39’s for 38’s....which fit perfect.! I’m impressed with how fantastic Zappos return policy is...they’re the best!
