First pair of Birks with the soft foot bed and I am in love! I gotta say, I don't think I can wear anything else now.

Soft suede + soft footbed = pampered feet! Love these shoes for total comfort. The taupe is a great color that blends away and goes with everything. I have narrow feet and always buy the narrow footbed. These run true to size for Birkenstock. I always wear one size smaller in Birkenstock sandals (39) vs. closed toe Birkenstock’s (40).

I have been trying to wear Birkenstocks for years but never could walk in them without tripping or feeling as if I were walking with planks attached to my feet. However, once I tried wearing the Narrow instead of the Regular, everything changed--comfort, control, ease. My feet are so happy. Since I have been wearing the Arizonas and Bostons, my sesamoids have gone to sleep--no more numbness in my feet, no more pain. And these look great--the velvet gray color is a charcoal gray--goes with everything.

So supportive and comfortable!! I had a pair of birks in the 90’s and remember they were great. 25 years later and I now suffer from chronic plantar fasciitis in both feet and the support these offer cannot be matched. I pretty much wear these all day, even for mile walks with the dog. The soft footbed is the way to go!! I immediately ordered a 2nd pair.

Gave these to my daughter as a birthday gift. She loves her Birks for comfort and fit.

Great neutral option

The soft foot bed style is very comfortable and has excellent arch support. Love the quality and color of the suede. I prefer the buckles to be silver rather than copper colored, but I still love the shoe. I am ordering more colors in the same style. Very happy with this shoe.

Definitely had to painfully break them in but very comfortable afterwards.

These soft footbed Birks are for sure my favorite. They are true to size, but even being a soft footbed, they need a bit of breaking in. Or maybe it's just that I can't wear them as often as I'm recovering from ankle surgery and one foot is still swollen. Either way, I love them.

Ordered the wrong size in a different Birkenstock style, but glad I did! They were out of stock on the ones to fit me, so I exchanged for these. They are SO comfortable!! The soft footbed is the way to go. Zappos' customer service rocks.

I have resisted getting these because, well, they are not the sexiest looking shoe. So many people I know rave about these I just had to try them. Wow! They really are the most comfortable shoes, ever! I wish I could wear them all the time....and they get more comfortable with every wear. Highly recommend...not high fashion for sure, but your feet will thank you.

i've been wearing birkenstocks for decades and always wished they had some cushioning. i don't know what took so long but here they are! these are fabulous. the only thing i would say is imperfect is that they suede straps are very loose. i had to have a cobbler make two more holes in the top strap and one in the bottom strap.

I love Birkenstocks, and the classic Arizona is a staple in my closet. Great for jeans and shorts and casual skirts. The style with the soft footbed are so much more comfy to me. I still love the regular, but my poor feet (that can't wear most shoes) much prefer the softer touch of this footbed.

Bought these for my daughter and she absolutely loves them. She says they are the most comfortable sandals she's ever had and that they mold to your foot over time. Also want to give a shoutout to the wonderful people at Zappos who are incredibly patient with me for all my attempts at getting comfortable shoes for my problem feet and the returns I have to do. Amazing sandals. I have plantar fasciitis and these are an absolute god send. One complaint: I have worn Birkenstocks for years, including the Arizona soft foodbed model and am always a 39 Narrow, however, in this particular pair in Taupe Suede my usual 39N was way too small and I needed to size up to a 40N. Unclear what's going on with the sizing here but otherwise very happy with them.

replacing a no longer available blue pair from like twenty years ago; these are just as pretty and comfy , more comfy actually: mine were pretty worn out.

This is my 5th pair of Birkenstock’s and these are by far the most comfortable pair. The soft footbed is a game changer. It’s way more comfortable than all the other pairs I own and I know once it conforms to my foot, it’s going to fit even better! These are wider than the others but I’m assuming because they’re unisex. It’s definitely not a huge issue, I just tightened the straps. Anywho, if you’re considering buying them, do it!

I usually wear 8.5-9 in sandals and 9-9.5 in my running shoes. I ordered a size 39 and they fit perfectly.

If you are thinking about getting these, don't hesitate. I bought these for my mother who has always suffered from leg and foot pain. She is in love with them and asked me to buy her another pair in another color. She is really happy and walking better than before. I wish I would have bought them a long time ago. These are the only shoes she can wear. She has a wide foot and the regular fit was perfect. If you don't have a wide foot go with the narrow. The soft seems to be very comfortable too. They are stylish and worth every penny.

I'm in my late '50s and this is my first pair of Birkenstocks and I'm really happy with them. My 20 something kids say they are cool now, so I decided it was time to try them for myself! I'm normally a women's US size 10 (41 European size in my other European-brand shoes) and sure enough I'm a 41 in Birks. I did a lot of research and tried several sizes on, and with the 40s my toes where right on the front edge of the footbed and there was not a drop of extra room in the front or back, so I knew 41 was right for me. The women's narrow is perfect (I tried the regular and was swimming in them). I also love the soft footbed. I'm still slowly breaking them in, but already they are very comfortable. I plan to wear them with socks in the winter (but probably only in the house). I plan to get more in different colors down the road. Zappos did a great job with my order.

Great shoes the soft footbed is wonderful in Birkenstock’s. Took about 2 weeks wearing hour or 2 around house with heavy socks & ready to go. Great Customer Service -I ordered & received wrong shoe with no Soft Footbed MY FAULT- no problem LUCY in Customer Service was #1. Great job Zappos you have a Winner working for you. I would encourage anyone to do business with this company!!

So comfortable!

Fit fine out of the box, but of course the footbed isn’t comfortable right away. I think these will break in over a period of weeks instead of days, which usually means they’ll last longer!

LOVE these shoes. The are super comfy with the soft foot bed. I bought narrow because I figured the soft suede would stretch some and I was right. They stretched just a bit with some wear and now they are the perfect width.
