I bought these for my daughter to wear to Spain. She wore them all day the first day and absolutely loved them. Her feet tend to ache after walking, so it is remarkable that her feet did not hurt at all the first day wearing these shoes.

These are my second pair of Birks and I'm so glad I tried this style... they look and feel great. They are officially my favorite shoe.

I had heard that Birks took a while to break in and was expecting them to be uncomfortable at first but this was not the case! They were comfy right away and I have worn them everyday since they arrived. I was also worried about the leather being stiff/rubbing but I have had no issues and no blisters or sore spots. The leather seemed to soften very quickly and they have exceeded my expectations!

True to size!

I love these sandals. They are very comfortable, stylish, and offer a lot of support for my foot which is essential to me. I bought the black with black buckles and love the way they can be dressed up or down depending on what I am wearing.

These are my absolute favorite pair of sandals. I wore them almost every day ! The sole really conforms to the shape of your foot, and they feel very supportive. I love them and own 3 pair

I purchased the oiled leather variety in a full size down from what I normally wear (I am an 8-1/2 and therefore should normally take a 39 but took a 38 in these). They take a little getting used to if you are not used to such a supportive arch but once I did I love them and they are my go-to comfort shoe of summer. I love the styling of these - much more feminine and less clunky looking than some of the other varieties which is what held me off from buying a pair for so long. My one complaint would be that when I wear them for a full day, the dye from the leather turns my toes black but it washes off after a couple of showers. Hopefully it was because they are new, though I did read a similar complaint about them before purchasing them.

I wear a size 7 shoe and regular width, but with this shoe I found the size 37 narrow fit me best. I am an elementary school teacher and needed comfortable shoes to wear with dresses and these are fantastic!!! They stay on and are comfortable being on your feet for hours.

First pair of Birkenstock shoes. Black oiled leather. Regular width. Super comfy! Definitely stiff the first few wearings. Wore them 2-3 times around the house for a few hrs each before wearing them out. Didn't have any issues with sore feet, but I wear sneakers most of the time, since my feet tend to REALLY hurt if I wear un-supportive shoes. After breaking them in, I wore these pretty much exclusively for 2 days straight and no sore heels or arches!! Yay supportive sandals! The black dye did come off on my feet, especially between my toes, the first days that I wore them out and about, but it has pretty much stopped after a dozen or so wearings, so I am confident that it won't be an issue. Tried the 39s and 40s. I felt like the 40s were a little big, but the 39s were definitely too small. I think I really need a 39.5, but alas, no half sizes. I wear 9 men's sneaks with thick socks, and usually settle for 9.5 W in ladies "nice" shoes with no socks. I think I could use EE for the ladies sizes, but those are tough to come by. These feel great width wise on my feet. Will definitely be back for more! Crossing my fingers that these last as long as people say they do, especially since the leather version is sooo expensive!

These sandals are excellent! I can walk in them all day without my feet getting tired!

I normally wear a size 9 in most shoes/sandals, but having read the reviews, I sized down to an 8 1/2; perfect! I have a somewhat narrow foot & I think this is why it made the difference. So comfortable even with my foot issues (bunions, high arches) and don't make my feet look ridiculously large as I feel some birks do.

I know the stiffness of the cork soles doesn't suit everyone, but these are the ultimate arch support for my feet. I specifically chose these ones because of the toe strap (making it easier to keep on when I'm moving quickly), but still wanted the ease of the slip-on (versus the option with the ankle/heel strap). I love em I love em I love em!

My absolute favorite of shoes! Comfortable, durable, and true to size. I wear them every day, to work, outside activities, etc. It's almost like not wearing any shoes! Love them!!!

Finally broke down and bought comfortable sandals. I feel like they make my feet look a little wide, but they’re so supportive that it makes up for it! The footbed fits really well; I don’t even need an ankle strap to keep them on my feet, even for a short sprint! Also, some reviewers mentioned swapping the straps over the big toe to prevent chafing... it’s worked for me so far!
