I am always a 6.5 in shoes, I can even squeeze into a 6 if need be. Birkenstock recommends a 37. This is way too big in my opinion. I ordered a 36 and it’s good. I could probably wear a 35 if I wanted the sandal to fit really snug. Although I don’t think the Mayari is available in a 35. I think these look the most feminine of the Birkenstock’s. I prefer leather over the faux leather because I think it will hold up over a longer time. I have found that inside the box is a measuring guide in mm. When I measure my foot that way, it’s right on with a 36 size. They tell you to measure your foot and then add 10 mm. That is your size. My foot measures 225 mm. The 36 is actually 230 mm. I think that is perfect. Just enough space! Hope that helps someone else! Try measuring in mm and see if your fit works better!

LOVE THESE. I have the Arizona by Birkenstock as well but I love the toe cross on these pair. They hold on so much better if walking for a long time. I get shin splints in the Arizona from time to time from having to scrunch my toes to keep the shoe on my foot when I walk. Very supportive shoe great to wear anytime. I've about worn through the bottom on my pair after ~3 years. Will definitely be purchasing another pair once these have to be retired.

You can't go wrong with the Mayari leather! I have 3 pair of Mayaris and I do like the leather so much more. It is an awesome, comfortable shoe that I can walk miles in without my feet hurting.

These are beautiful and true to size. I love the shoe, I just ordered several pair of new birkenstocks and decided to keep the large buckle Madrid in silver instead since I don't have anything like the Madrid. I wasn't sure I could wear the narrow but it seems fine in that style. My feet are flat and pretty wide in the toe box and the Mayari is a great show. I do love the leather best!

I have a wide-ish foot and wear a size 8 in most shoes, but in Birks size 38 is a perfect fit even though the size chart puts 38 at a 7-7.5 equivalency. This is a very comfortable shoe and the first day I wore them I just kept looking down and being delighted by the color. It's a nuetral (taupe) but the shiny metallic finish keeps it from being boring and dresses it up a notch. So nuetral enough to go with everything but also a bit fancy.

I’ve owned this style before and knew I would love them. My only complaint is the toe strap came apart after a few years of almost constant wear.

So glad they are nubuck. Next soft footbed in Mayari style please!!

I’ve worn Birkenstocks for many years and they never disappoint! These shoes are comfortable enough to wear all day and the blue is cute (I know Birkenstocks aren’t everyone’s definition of cute, but the colors and styles have come a long way).

Love these sandals. I have another pair of Birkenstocks in a different style and a regular fit, but they're a bit too wide. The Mayari narrow fit is perfect--though I wouldn't say I have particularly narrow feet. I got them in the silver birko-flor. They look and feel the same as leather, and the color is not too shiny like some metallic shoes. I wanted a sandal that I could walk in all day but that could be dressed up a bit too, and these fit the bill perfectly. Even on the first wearing, the toe loop was comfortable, as was the sole. I've found that Birkenstock foot beds get more comfortable with time as they mold to your foot. I'm really happy with these shoes.

Nice Birkies! They are a little dressier than the original hippy-chick look. Very comfortable right out of the box, although I had to go down a size to 38. I originally wear between 8.5 and 8, and my feet were swimming in the size 39. 38 is snug and perfect. I ordered the leather version (Habana Oiled). They're a lovely rich brown, with subtle-colored clasps that match the leather, and appear to be very well made. I usually wear out 3 pairs of cheap flip flops every summer, so I look forward to upping my game!

I wear a size 10 and bought these in a 41. They are perfect. Super comfy and cute. As always Zappos delivery was really fast. Love them.

The sizing was easy because I just looked at what I had bought last year, in a different color. It is my go-to sandal, and I SO APPRECIAATE your carrying it in a Narrow width.

I have the Gizeh in almost all colors. When a pair gets old I order it again. I recently got the one with the toe strap ( can't remember what it's called) I love that as well. I normally wear a seven seven and a half but I get the European 37 and it fits perfect.

I would buy these shoes over and over again. Extremely comfortable and they go with any outfit. I’ve had them a year and they’ve held up very well.

Love the Mayari style. I have a pair of dark gray ones from a few years ago that I've wore to death - and needed an update. I tried the tobacco color first because I liked the distressed look, but was disappointed by the coloring in real life - not at all like the picture, just a light/uniform/rather blah 'greige' color. I exchanged them for the oiled habana leather, which was better - but had to order three different pairs (!!) before I got one that matched. The left and right shoe in each case had noticeably a different color/finish (either rich dark brown or more distressed looking), as well as straps that weren't even attached to the shoe in the same place. I should have taken pictures of how far out of alignment they were. I've been wearing Birks on and off for 25 years and guess the quality control has diminished over time. But I finally got a pair that matches, feels great, looks good, and works. Hooray for Zappos customer service.

I exchanged my first pair - I wear a 12 US in most shoes and ordered the Birks as such. However, for the heel cup and toe bar to fit correctly I had to size down. In some shoes I purchase a wide, with Birks the regular width accommodates my foot well. The black oiled leather did rub off color on my foot the first few wears (materials in the box will advise of this, so it wasn't a surprise.) I've worn them five or six times at this point and they no longer leave marks during wear. This style of Birkenstock is a little more stylish and looks great with summer skirts and linen pants. Very happy!

I was replacing a pair that I completely wore out. These are extremely comfortable birks! I also wanted to comment on how amazed I was to actually receive my order the day after I placed it. They arrived much sooner than expected!.
